A DECLARATION FROM THE OFFICE OF THE VICE-CHANCELLOR

 

It is with the greatest of sorrow that the Holy Mother Church of the Canon announces the passing of High Pontiff Everard VI. This very morning, following the distribution of His final Bull, the High Pontiff passed into the Seven Skies. His long reign of both prosperity and endurance has ended, but He is to be remembered within and without the Church.

With the passing of His Holiness, Everard VI, the Church of the Canon hereby enters the position of “SEDE VACANTE”, otherwise referred to as “The Seat Being Vacant”. We pray to Godan, all the Exalted and Saints, that He will grant wisdom to our College of Cardinals to choose a successor that is pleasing to Him.

 

We pray that our new Pontiff be protected from the evils of sin, from greed and gluttony, from pride and selfishness. Rather, may he be a benevolent shepherd to the Canonist flock, guiding all the faithful through the troubles of our world, remaining obedient to God, serving as a light for those stuck in darkness.

 

With this, through the power vested in me as Vice-Chancellor, I hereby summon the College of Cardinals to Conclave to elect our new Pontiff.
