ThatDutchFellow 1147 Share Posted January 24, 2022 THE GUARDIAN INITIATIVE “A artistic depiction of a ancient Shire Village” Preamble; “Lo’ wee-folk o’ ‘oney’ill, O’ t’ank ye fer readin’ dis Initiative oi Hob dah Beas’ Slayah wit’ approval o’ assistance o’ T’ain Oiris Peregrin wrote up fer dah benefi’ o’ dah Shoire” Reason For Initiative; I, as Village beast-slayer, have noticed a steady increase in dark forces (both Descendant and Not) pouring into our once peaceful village. This dark tide has resulted in both the heavy injury, and in some extreme cases the death, of both Halfling and Friends of the Shire. Seeing as our good friends The Warden and Nemea cannae be at all places at once, I find it sensible to present to the shire a form of ‘Shock Troop’. These brave Wee-Folks will be tasked with the protection and safe-keeping of the rest of the population. Thus, they ought to be permitted to wear a form of Armor and Protection (Be it a full set of body Armor or Different), to afford them the ability to take risks, where other halflings might falter and turn due to physical limitations. What will Change?; - A slight adaptation to the Anti-Armor Law issued in the Laws and Traditional guidelines of Honeyhill. How will it be Changed?; - The Removal of the Anti-Armor Law for a set group of Halflings; whomst are only permitted to use their personal sets of armor in service of the Shire and its Protection. [This armor is to only be used in situations of need, The Thain will entrust the ‘Guardians’ with the responsibility of deciding when a situation is appropriate for the Combat Armor. An explanation is to be given to the Thain after the fact.] - The Start of a ‘rank’ named the ‘Guardians’, which the Thain of the Shire can hand out towards a set of Honorary and Born Halflings, as to permit them the wearing and utilizing of combat armor.[This Rank/Role can at any times be removed by the ruling Thain if its misused, or abused for personal benefit, instead that of the Shires and its People] Signed, Hob the Beast Slayer HOB Her Wee-ship, Thain Iris Peregrin
