Anger in Grief

The second part - Nuala and the hag.

In the room - still.

"So go now, and be at peace." The steward frowned, and let go of the man, who passed on. He walked to the next person.

"Now onto you." He eyed the dark elven woman "Nuala. You..." He squinted, and after a short pause, he walked closer "...robbed me. I'm not talking about that one time in Vortice. When you broke in, no. No, I'm talking about something else." He smirked, and took a step back "Do you know what that is?" He raised a brow, expecting no answer other than a shake of her head.

But that is not what he received - no. The woman spoke up "Yes, I do." She smirked "How selfish of you, Talinn. To say that I robbed you. No, I saved you." The steward, preparing his answers, stood there like a wall with a smirk. "And you thanked me by doing what exactly? Oh right, you broke Immeral's face. Over what, a little misunderstanding?" He raised a brow, and now felt rage overcome him. Were it not for the glass wall that separated them- wait, he thought, was this always here?

The woman, uncaring for his surprise, went on "Heh, and you got away easy! You had to pay what, 30 minas?-" "50." He interrupted. "50 then. I would've expected jail-time." The woman seemed to finish, so the steward began.
"First of all. How dare you? How dare you make yourself the victim? You- you know what? Who was it that left Elysium for weeks at a time because someone was upset? Who was it that helped you even after you broke into his house? Oh, that's right..." He smirked, watching the woman's confused face "... you don't remember all those times, do you? So I'm just supposed to accept everything how it is, accept that I'm nothing but an idiot there for others to laugh at. Well, I'll tell you this. I won't. I refuse to accept this. Because- do you know why?" The woman shook her head "Because I'm far more successful than you will ever be. That's why. I-..."
He paused, he could not express himself with purely words. "I-" He began again after a short pause "-hate you. And I hate everything you stand for. And I hate everything that's even related to you."
The woman, expecting no other answer, huffed. "No..." The steward looked at her in disgust "No, you do not huff at me." He took a step closer- wait, where's the wall? I swear it was here a second ago...
But anyway, he took a step closer, and put a hand on her shoulder "You- you are forgiven. You've suffered enough, having taken care of Aria and Immeral. I...forgive you."
The woman, taken aback, stood in shock. The steward placed a hand on her head "So go now, and be at peace." He uttered, his words carrying more weight now. The woman too, floated off to join the other two...

The steward now walked onto the next person, a woman in black, the clothes torn on her back. "You... you're next." He glared at the woman, almost burning a hole in her eyes.

"I do not remember your name anymore. But you must remember me." He smirked "Don't even try to deny it. I was the kid who got you killed. Lashed- was it 5 or 15 times? I don't remember. But you pinned me down to the ground- A SIX YEAR OLD KID FOR ****'S SAKE!" He backed off "You... you I will not forgive. I tried- I really tried. For many years- what is it, 60 years? Does it even matter?" He sighed, and shook his head "No. You- you I will never forgive. Not if the sky falls on me, I will not forgive you. I tried to be a good grandson..." He shuddered at the word "... but no. I cursed at you, and you pinned me down. This-..." He stopped, and got in her face "May your soul be never at peace. I hope- no, I know you will remember me."
He grabbed her throat with his right hand, almost crushing it. "So go now, and be never at peace."
He uttered, and let go of her. She, instead of floating away like the rest, fell through the ground.

The steward now walked on, arriving at a-
