A letter to the soul of Edmund II, King of Aaun

Dear cousin, 

 

I know that you are reading this from the Seven Skies and are thus not able to receive this letter in person, though I think it is best that I express my feelings in a letter for I do not wish to seem weak in the eyes of others.

 

I am so sorry that you are away now. The sight of the first attempt on your life and to now know that you have passed on from this world to the next is something that continues to bother me. Your passing has managed to bring many Canonist Kingdoms together that shall avenge you and your fellow martyrs. 

 

I pray that you spend much time with grandfather and great-grandfather in the Seven Skies and that in return you shall pray with them for us to prove ourselves victorious in this war. It frightens me to know that there are many brigands willing to slay those related to you and to slay those who are innocent. It is therefore that I swear to you, cousin, that once I grow up, that I shall take every step necessary to protect our kin and the citizens of Aaun to preserve our United Kingdom.

 

Whenever my day comes, and I pray that it shall not be soon, for I intend to do many things to make you and our forefathers proud of the legacy that they put so much effort into in this world for. 

 

Pray for us, for we are to fight, to preserve. 

 

And as the motto of our forebears sounded through the air in the past, and so it shall sound again:

 

Tandem Triumphans

 

May you find yourself in the embrace of GOD, the Exalted and the many Saints in the Seven Skies, cousin Eddie.
