Terry 2680 Share Posted July 28, 2024 ASPIRATIONS AND DEDICATION To Complete a Grand Deed Issued on the 8th Day of Tov ag Yermey of 540 E.S. The House of Ruthern, as prestigious and historied as it is, has accomplished more than can effectively be written here. Even in recent times, be it Knight Paramount, Lady Emissar, Lieutenant and Peer of the Realm, or even Steward of the Kongzem. Almost every member of this esteemed House has given and still shows their dedication and loyalty to the Kongzem in their own way and excel at it. And now, today on the 8th of Tov ag Yermey, I, Lord Sigmar var Ruthern, hope to join my fellow family in showcasing such. The Marian Retinue has, since it’s remaking, always piqued my interest. From the day I first held my little wooden training sword, to today, standing before my great deed and on the eve of revealing such, have always wished to be a Knight. The road has never been easy for me, dealing with roadblock after roadblock since I began my journey, no fault to my own habits of course, but I have strived to persevere regardless. Being of the Rutherns, failure has never been an option and I wished not to make it one now. To quote the missive ‘On Merit and Squirehood’, “a squire ought to have already conducted himself in the manner of the bogatyr. He should be proven to be glorious, of proper stock, skilled with a blade, and above all, loyal to his kingdom.” However, to put it plainly, I have proven little but the loyalty I have for my Kongzem. I am no ‘great’ warrior, I have not had the ability to show my swordsmanship as others have nor do I have any prior deeds to speak of or show for besides my work as an ambassador and now, Deputy Emissar of our great Kongzem. That has not deterred me, however. What I have not been able to show in my ability to fight, I show in my dedication and commitment to Haense by collecting and forging a mass storage of supplies and weaponry for our great Kongzem. I wish to dedicate the entirety of my work to His and Her Royal Majesties, Marius III and Juliya Elena of Reinmar. Long may you two reign, and may one day I have the opportunity to report to you both not as Lord, but Ser.
