The Minecraft forums and Lord of the Craft forums have slightly different application forms. I was unsure as which to go with, so I went with the Minecraft Forums one.

I am currently a grade 12 student, who has a passion for playing games and an interest in pursuing a career in programming, as well as a hobby in producing films. I greatly enjoy role-playing and working co-operatively with people rather than against them.

-How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Probably at least 5 hours a week, but will likely vary greatly.

-How long have you played minecraft?:

Since August or September last year, in Alpha.

-What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?:

I hosted a small, private Minecraft role-playing server amongst my friends once, so I have had a little experience in Minecraft, which lasted a few months. However, that is all my experience. I also have an interest in role-playing games, both on and off computers.

-What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect (and hope) it is filled with many varied players who also enjoy working not just against each other but co-operatively too.

-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have only ever previously played on private servers, and have not left them to date.

-Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?:

Both the rules and the lore.

-Name the 4 races on this server.

The four main races are Dwarves, Elves, Humans and Orcs.

-How did you hear about us?:

From LB's Photorealism pack's thread (My favourite texture pack, it's an amazing pack)

Yes I did.

-What was your favourite Law?:

The law against 1337 speak. I strongly dislike it with a passion, although I usually put up with it for everyone else's sake.

-What was your least favourite Law?:

I don't mind any of them, but if I had to pick a least favourite it would be forcing players to have another forum account. I can understand why you did it, it's just... frustrating to need another account.

-Biography:

Hedron is a clever and thoughtful dwarf who has a passion for mining and does it for a living, but whose true passion is in redstone and other mechanisms, especially used in devices and machines. As a child, Hedron was brought up by his father in his mines of Kal'Urguan. His entire life was filled with mining. Hedron found great pleasure in plunging deep into the earth looking for the earth's treasures. However, as time went on, a desire to see what else life had to offer slowly grew on him, and eventually caused him to leave his family and life in the mines to search the world for fresh and new experiences. He travelled a lot around the world during this period, and saw many places, and learnt a great deal over a number of years. In particular he spent a great deal of time with the elves, and developed an unusual liking for them, especially strange as he was a dwarf.

Eventually, however, Hedron tired of wandering. He had experienced much and fulfilled his desire to see what life offered, and returned to his family in Kal'Urguan. Since then, he has lived a simple life as a miner. His father passed away, but Hedron grew to surpass him in his skill in mining, and became quite a competent miner. During this period, Hedron relocated his mine and dwellings to a more distant mountain, seeking peace and solitude in which to mine in peace, and also began an interest in mechanisms and redstone, one which has grown and still exists to this day. He has spent long hours experimenting and perfecting his skills with redstone and other mechanisms to his heart's content.

In the long years since his return to Kal'Urguan, nothing notable has happened in Hedron's life. His skills as a miner have continued to improve over the long years, as has his skills with redstone and mechanisms, and he has continued his friendship with the elves through occasional ventures out into the surface world, which sometimes become a great source of curiosity as to what the otherwise reclusive and solitary miner who lives away on a distant mountain is doing on the surface. Recently, however an unfortunate explosion caused a cave-in that destroyed most of Hedron's mine and with it his house. With this destruction, Hedron has decided it is time to move back to Kal'Urguan with other dwarves and society, knowing full well it will mean starting afresh.

-Character Appearance:

Hedron is an average sized dwarf, with dark orange hair and beard. He has striking gold eyes as well.

-Character Personality:

Eccentric, and somewhat of a loner, except for a few close friends. He is content to stay in isolation and mine and tinker for long periods of time, emerging only to disappear off into the surface world, where he is rumoured to have been seen more than once with elves...

-Your ambitions:

Hedron's only real ambition is to hopefully some day become a redstone engineer for someone important.

-Can your character read or write?:

In his travels Hedron learnt to read, but still finds writing more than a little difficult. His handwriting certainly wouldn't win any prizes for legibility.

-Can your character mine?:

Of course, being brought up as a miner for the first hundred or so years of his life, and most of the rest has made him into a very talented and experienced miner.

-Are you a capable builder?

No. Hedron, being a miner knows how to dig a mineshaft and keep it intact and supported, but that's the limits of his construction abilities.

-Can you wield a sword?:

Hedron knows the basics of wielding a sword from his adventures, but has never really practised and is relatively poor and inexperienced. He has promised himself he will someday learn to become a competent swordsman, however.

-Enjoy Farming?:

No, farming is for the surface-dwellers.

-Does your character have any special skills?:

No.

-Other Information:

Hedron is also highly uninterested in politics and wars. As long as the ruler is fair an just, they will have Hedron's support, but he takes very little interest in the whole idea. The same goes for wars. If he were required to, Hedron would take up his sword to fight for his nation, but is not one to volunteer for the army, greatly preferring the comfort and solitude of his mines.
