ValleyOfLavender 581 Share Posted December 2, 2024 Moons Fallen Pearl “In life, she searched for a home, and eventually she found one but like all things come to pass, so did she.” When young we are told to live our lives to the fullest, Raeliana often said she resembles that of the night who didn't find much to enjoy, she thought her family crazy but she loved them so, in time she grew weary and found her place amongst her family, but as everything she soon came to pass. A peaceful passing but a sad one nonetheless, as if she knew it coming as a young woman of precarious health she was quite weak physically while her mind held strong. She was not scared of death, instead, the young women welcomed it, seeing it as a new beginning then an end, but then nobody could be sure if there was anything after life but she had her hopes. Late night of a full moon alone in her room, the elfess lay there in quite a dire state, watching lifetimes pass by her eyes, she remembered her life, the good and the bad she held all memories dear, but her heart pounded, was she scared to die? No not scared but sad, sad to leave her family “Maln... you’ll be okay…” a whisper into the night, her frail hand resting upon a letter she had written over time. Spoiler Xavier Adiler: Dearest Maln, I hope you do not take this too hard, i know you have been through a lot already, i can not thank you enough for taking me in that day, the day I asked you to adopt me fully as your own, becoming part of your family was truly a blessing, to you I leave my necklace, fret not you don't need to wear it, but I hope you remember me by it. Live well maln, I hope you realise you are who helped me survive. Your Rae. oc its been a short one on this character but finding no joy in her anymore, nor finding reason to play her I've decicded to let this character die so I may start anew.
Bird5k 1083 Share Posted December 2, 2024 The letter was sent to Xavier Adiler. At first, he expected it to be another call for aid or an order for potions. Unfortunately, it was not so. The elf read the short note several times, as though willing for the words to change. But the ink remained steadfast, unyielding. The bitter realisation settled heavily in his heart Another daughter lost With a heavy heart, he made his way up Lemon Hill, each step felt heavier than the last as he approached the temple. When he reached the sacred fires, Xavier fell to his knees, weeping. No prayer came to his lips. What could he possibly say in such a moment? "Rae, I am so sorry" Why those words escaped him, even Xavier could not explain. Perhaps it was guilt - guilt that he could never provide a home untouched by flames, or a life of peace and joy for his family, as he had once sworn. All the former Prince of Aen'Aeloria knew was that the weight of his failures - of his people, of his family - would forever rest on his shoulders.
