Tarl is a servant of Oren he wants to be able to torture those who have information that is valuable to Oren, he also wants to be able to kill those who he deeps a threat to Oren, namely undead

Biography

Tarl grew up in a small village, his father was a farmer, and he had 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He grew up on his father’s farm, and watched as his father worked hard every day, with his older brothers. He saw his father earn little money for all his hard work. He noticed at a young age that the tax collecters didn’t do any work yet took a lot of money. When he was 5 he questioned his father as to why they get money from everyone when they don’t do anything. One day in his youth he found some frogspawn in the pond on his father farm. He took it and kept it in a small sealed box in his room. When it hatched he used to spend hours a day watching the tadpoles. A week after the frogspawn hatched his brother tipped out the tadpoles onto the ground outside their house. Tarl was angry at his brother, this was the first time he felt a need for vengeance. One night, while the rest of his family were eating Tarl claimed to feel sick and went to bed. He crept out of his bedroom window and run to the cowshed. He found a sac and filled it with as much cow **** as he could find. He dragged it back to the house and emptied it into his brother’s bed; he put a clean sheet over so his brother couldn’t see then returned to his bed, happy that justice was done. Throughout the rest of his youth he did similar things to get revenge every time someone wronged him. He attended a local school and used to use others in his class to do his dirty work, sometimes setting the stupid children against one another sometimes just for pleasure.

As he grew into his teens, he matured quickly and began to work on his father farm, helping him with everything around the farm.at the age for 16 his father died, and his mother fell ill. One night, several bandits raided their house, burning their crop, destroying equipment; kill Tarl’s brothers (he only survived because he was out of the house, using the toilet) and taking his sisters, the burn the house to the ground, with his brothers bodies still inside. Tarl felt anger like he had never felt before. He found his father’s sword (which was safe as it was kept in the cellar) and tracked down the bandits; he found their camp after three days. Outside where the burned, naked and beaten bodies of his sisters. Filled with rage and a desperate need for vengeance he crept into the camp at night and killed three of the bandits in their sleep another woke but Tarl kicked his sword away, he beat the man with the hilt of the sword and knocked him unconscious. He tied the bandit by his wrists to the wall of the cave the camp was in. when the Bandit awoke Tarl tormented him, using his sword and a burning pieces of wood he slowly removed the Bandits legs, removing a toe at a time, and then slowly moving up, taking hours to remove both of them. Tarl them lit a fire under the bandit and left him to die. He left the camp and buried his sisters.

(This is when i joined lotc; all this was done in game. only a very basic overview) Tarl then made his way north to Al’Khazar; he arrived there and promptly made money collecting wood for a merchant. Within two days of his arrival, an undead creature had killed guard in the main square; Tarl leapt forward and fought the undead monster, killing it. The Captain of the Oren guard offered Tarl a job, he accepted. Tarl spent many years serving the guard, and the king. When the Captain left, a new guard was made commander, a novice recruit, only been in the guard a few weeks, she took instant dislike to Tarl and, although he supplied the guard with much information, she fired him for disagreeing with her. Tarl was filled with anger, he felt betrayed by all of Oren.

He went north to Talun, where he built a house and a farm, for a short while he took up a trade as a merchant, he became very rich. He returned to Oren a few weeks after being betrayed, with the intent to sell iron blocks. When he arrived in the city he was arrested and locked in prison for treason. Luckily Tarl had many friends in the guard, one of them opened his cell and let him out, he spent a few more days in the city, hiding in a few friends’ houses, he was able to sell his iron, but in the process he discovered that the constable was working for the undead, he left the city and returned to his home in talun, where he decided his next move. Unfortunately, Tarl was unable to put his plan to expose her into effect, as his adopted daughter, who ventured too near to the city was arrested and locked in jail, Tarl left talun immediately, he used his money to gain access to the city, he made it to the jail, and confronted the guard there, a friend of his, he showed him the proof of the constable’s guilt. The guard released Tarl’s daughter, and they decided what to do, Tarl spent the night in a friend’s house, ((logged off)) when he woke up ((logged back in)) the constable had been exposed and fled the city, Tarl was pardoned of his crimes.

Shortly after this, Tarl spoke with King Edmund Sheffield, and he granted him permission to start a completely deniable secret police, their job was simple, to infiltrate organisations that pose a threat to Oren, like the undead, and other nations in aegis. Tarl soon realised that there was a wealth of information in the undead supporters that are arrested in Oren. However, they weren’t going to just tell Tarl what he wanted to know, he realised he would need to use physical pressure((torture)) to persuade them to be more open ((this is what I am Appling for, I only want a villain app to torture those that have useful information))

Describe what each trait means to your character, and relate whether or not the trait is one of their defining characteristics. Then describe how they will be acted out on a daily basis, if they are a defining characteristic.

Deception: Tarl is a Master of deception; he uses it regularly to achieve what he shouldn’t. He studies his targets beforehand, learning what they like, and dislike, what makes them mad, what the love, what they hate. He then uses this to quickly bend someone to his will. He doesn’t believe deception to be a sin, but a contest between two minds, the more intelligent one winning. When it is for his work, Tarl removes his conscience from the equation, what is one life, compared to the lives of all those he is saving, Tarl is restrained by nothing, neither morality or law

Pride: Tarl is a very proud man; he doesn’t like to be beaten in anyway. As a boy he targeted those who were better than him. He would set stronger boys against the boys more intelligent than him; he would injure those who could run faster than him. He even scared the face of a boy he though looked better than him. The only thing he doesn’t mind others having when he doesn’t is money and power. He can let a rich man walk past him un phased, he knows that if he wanted he could take everything from the man/woman.

Betrayal: Tarl hates betrayal, he believes it is the worst sin anyone can commit, lying to someone and abusing trust is acceptable in Tarl’s eyes. But when you betray something you have loved you reduce yourself to worse than an animal. However he thinks if you are betrayed then vengeance is your right, and no one should stand in your way. Tarl believes that you can use whatever means necessary to get vengeance, when talking about betrayal and vengeance, the end always justifies the means.

Greed: Tarl isn’t greedy; he has many nice things, few nice houses, money, a beautiful wife, a beautiful daughter, respect. There is very little he desires for himself

Gluttony: Tarl doesn’t view gluttony as a sin, merely a disgusting habit. In his view, if it were a sin then all the lord and nobles of the world are guilty of it. He eats enough to stay strong, and he enjoys food, but he would never eat so much he's physical abilities suffer as a result.

Sloth: Tarl views this not as a sin, but as a trait of all the upper classes. He believes that a man who spends all day in bed doesn’t deserve anything. Tarl doesn’t sleep more than he has to, he always tell himself 'i can sleep when I’m dead', he sleeps to keep his stamina up and to rest aching limbs, but not when he is fine and healthy.

Lust: Tarl is a good looking man, but he has a wife, and he would never betray her. Not for all the women in aegis, he swore to love her exclusively, and Tarl, always keeps his promises

Hatred: Tarl doesn’t have a born hatred of any ethnic group; Tarl hates a few of those in aegis, those whom he hates are enemies to Oren, or those who have wronged him, he will not easily forget his hate. A year from now, or 1000 years from now, Tarl still hates them

Wrath: Tarl doesn’t normally show wrath, except when he is angry at someone. Abuse is often hurled at him when he is questioning people; he is able to ignore it, keeping a level head. He only shows wrath when he has been betrayed, or is assisting someone in revenge, or getting revenge for himself

For the following scenarios, give a description as to how your character would react. Each scenario is designed with no particular objective in mind and is open ended deliberately. Avoid metagaming (Using information your character does not have), powergaming (controlling other characters without consent), or any cheating (Doing something your character can't normally do otherwise. ex. fly, spawn items, walk into Mordor) in each scenario as the mentioned are not allowed in game. Assume your character is in each position, regardless of their normal situations.

1. You are in the Grand city Al'khazar in the city square outside the keep. Quickly a noisy crowd of nobles and wealthy merchants form around you, mostly of humans, but other races as well. The crowd's loud chatter is silenced as the King walks out of the Keep, with several guards on either side of him, to address his people. The King begins to talk to the crowd about a plan of attack against the Undead. The crowd is very packed and doesn't leave a lot of space for free movement, but you are able to push through people.

*Looks up at the king, he listens to him speak, he thinks to himself, ‘war, why do kings think it the answer to everything’ he looks around the crowd, seeing two hooded men, he walks towards them, subtlety pushing through the crowd, trying to get within ear shot, hoping to find something out, Tarl listens, he listens to them, then decides from the manner of their conversation that they have more information he can use, he walks to the edge of the crowd, keeping an eye on the two men, when the king has finished, he beckons one of his guards to the side, he whispers to the guard, and indicates the hooded men to him, ordering the guard to arrest them, he walks to the prison, pulling his mask out and putting it on, he waits in the area above the cells, readying himself for questioning them, his tools lay before him, knifes, sticks, needles, all manner of metal, designed to cause maximum pain for minimum damage.

2. An old lady has fallen by a tree on the Kings road. She calls for your help just as you round the corner. She appears to be holding onto a bag, tucked under her arm. Upon closer inspection you notice three others around her, some armed, but all dead.

*looks around, making sure there is no one else around, he goes over to the woman, and helps her up, he searches the bodies for any clue as to who they were, not finding any, he helps the woman back to Al’Khazar and informs the guard on the gate of the bodies, he orders the guard to gather a few others, to assist him in a full investigation. Even the wounds on the bodies might give him something

3. You're approached at your house by a man who lives not too far away. "Hey neighbour!" He says as he waves.

*Tarl looks up at the man, he waves back and cries 'hail'. he walks over to the man and listens to him, judging him and replying to questions in a friendly manner, he examines the man, trying not to look like he is, he sees his face isn’t rotting, and there is no visible mark on his forehead, he greets the man, they enter his house, while the man is fetching some ale, Tarl quickly searches the house, looking in chests, for anything that might be of interest, not finding anything, he returns to the kitchen, taking the ale he downs it, talking to the man, listening to see if he will let slip something, he looks out of the window into the street, only half listening to the man

final note

i only want the villain app so that i can torture and kill those who i think have valuable information, then kill them to prevent them from doing further harm to Oren.
