Clarissa's campaign speech

Hola, my name is Clarissa Falkner, ever since I stepped foot into Balian it felt like home, the citizens so friendly and welcoming, I was nervous at first because my family has gone through so much and it took me a while to feel like I belonged. I am so grateful to all who welcomed me and made me feel this way, Meeting so many different people has gave me a new look at life, but then suddenly something happened, I won’t go into full details as I don’t want to make it public and its not necessary to do so, but I felt like I was a nobody, just a commoner with no meaning, I started to question what I am even meant for, and so at the debate that was held for candidates running for Senator I announced I was dropping out, I felt like those questions asked were just overwhelming, I felt like all my answers were worthless, I didn’t want to fail my family, I felt like I sort of did when I was not there for my father in law when having his stroke, I am grateful to those who did save him however. 

 

I realized you can't always be there for those you love, and I myself was going through so much myself, Its not easy to fight a battle alone I don't mean the kind you fight another person, I mean the kind where you are fighting yourself in your mind about all the things that make you feel like a burden or worthless, I urge you to find someone you trust and open your heart to them, don't fight a battle like I am alone, and don't worry I plan to seek someone about my problem soon, and I hope while you read this you don't think badly of me. 

 

So now that I write this speech I thought about it for over a saint month, I decided to keep fighting, someone told me that even the most smallest responses matter, and that I can’t give up yet, my ideas were my passion and I can’t let that slip by. So when the times comes, I hope and pray that you will vote for me.
