I. DUTIES OF THE PALATIODORA

THE PALATIODORA IS A POSITION, of immense prestige within the Courts of Balians, and thus requires great responsibilities in order to properly manage their department. Not only are they the public face of La Cort de la Taronja, but also the right hand and most trusted aide of the Queen herself.

 

HEADING THE COUNCIL OF MONTEROSA

THE MOST PROMINENT DUTY OF the Palatiodora is to be the head counselor and representative of the COUNCIL OF MONTEROSA. The responsibilities of such require skill in administration and leadership, as well as communication to ensure all offices of the courts are running smoothly beneath their respective office heads.

 

HOSTING EVENTS

IT IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE that as the face of the Courts, the Palatiodora is active and present in Balianese society. This is to upkeep the presence of the rest of the courts, and encourage activity from their fellow courtiers and citizens. Events may be hosted with the assistance of the Zelador and Office of Entertainment and held within the PALATIO ARANCIONE, or hosted either individually or with the help of one’s own household.

 

FOSTERING CULTURE

TO BE AT THE HEAD of the Balianese courts is to all but embody the culture and spirit of the Kingdom. The Office of Cultivation, while overseen immediately by the Curador and then by the Amifitiro, still falls beneath the Palatiodora’s authority. They enforce the customs and trends throughout Balian throughout their own mannerisms, dressing, and hosting of gatherings.

II. REQUIREMENTS TO BE THE PALATIODORA

TO BE ENTRUSTED WITH THE power and duties of the Palatiodora is not afforded to just anyone, as to sit on the Duana is to be a close aide to the Monarch and Consort alike. In order to be deemed a worthy advisor, one must fulfill the following requirements.

 

BALIANESE CITIZENSHIP

THE SEAT OF THE PALATIODORA upon the Duana means one has to be one committed to the Kingdom they serve and the Monarchs they advise. Thus, the Palatiodora may not be somebody who holds a title or citizenship in a foreign realm. If one is an immigrant and holds a dual-citizenship between Balian and their homeland, they must hold primary residence within Balian.

 

GOOD CHARACTER

──────

LEADING THE COURTS OF BALIAN requires one to interact and participate in society regularly, as well to become a representative of their Queen and courtiers alike. Because of this, the Palatiodora must be in good standing within the Realm of Balian and the Canonist Church. Any criminal records or otherwise questionable actions will be deemed unfit to hold such a title in the government.
