To all it may concern:

 

Due to the prolonged absence of the exiled clan father, Alaric ‘Wormtongue’ Grimgold, I, Bostone Grimgold, have brought it upon myself to claim rightful leadership of the clan Grimgold, effective immediately.

 

Alaric’s Absence, brought about by his own folly, has left the clan in a state of disrepair, leaving myself as the only acting member of the clan as of this missive. This state of disrepair extended well before Alaric's apparent exile, bleeding our prospective kin from our ranks like an open wound, their trust scarred by his lack of presence as a leader.

 

It is with a heavy heart that I usurp his position without inquiring for his permission, but it is simply the best way forward to do so. However, I will not trample on the values and structure that followed long before my time, and instead, I will build upon them, pushing our culture into the future with the rest of Urguan’s kin. I will see to it that Grimgold colors, under my gaze, once again swing proudly amongst the great clans of Kal’Kladian, firm and opulent in their splendor. 

 

Dwedmar one and all are free to take up the mask, free from the shackles of blood and obligation, should they so choose.
