The Pride of the Kharajyr,

The Champion of Khalenwyr,

bound by the mortal heart

and spirit blade.

Yhl'Tilipotonqui carried the massive skull of Braugmaw the Olog inside the Kharajyr tree. He huffed the effort as he sat it down, then turned towards the altar. He rinsed his hands off as he stared up at the banners of the Moon's phases, before washing his face. He took his armor off, then turned with a stern look as he eyed skull with a glare that only esteemed veteran warriors could ever have. A glare that pierced like a blade, stripping away pretense and pride all to those select few champions. That glare behind the helm, a haunting reminder of one solemnly pure fact:

The Earth beneath us will drink its fill of blood before the day is done.

Yhl'Tilipotonqui prepped the shamanic ritual for his spirit walk to finally pact with Collocuectli, who gave him two tasks prior:

"You will dedicate your entire blood-line to my name and you will dedicate

that skull the pride slain to me, Collocuectli."

Having done both of these, Yhl'Tili gave one final look before he opened his bag. Inside was five grams of magic mushrooms, picked from the Desert Sands, known as Desert Mirage. He broke and crushed it up, to eat it quicker, and then took his robes and rolled them down so they didn't get soaked in sweat. Then, he laid down and took a separate tunic out to wrap his face into total darkness. He laid his head back and closed his eyes as his mana began to infuse over himself. He began to hum a nursery rhyme, one he read in a book, as his trip to the spirit realm commenced...

PHHHHHOOOOOOSH-zing-BOP!

Yhl'Tili awakened as he sat his eyes on the spiritual realms. A black canvas with endless portals dazzling like stars. He peered over his spiritual form- turbulent tides of waves forming his being. Crashing over another, the conflict and turbulence, the calmness and stillness - the ever-changing and adaptability of warriors. Yhl'Tili has been in this realm many times, so he flew with ease towards the portal that called to all his kin's hearts- the island of Khalenwyr. It was the brightest star to him, and a smile would always adorn his face as he went straight through it.

He landed onto the coast, as birds and spirits alike hum through the opening into the jungle. The trees stretched high as he stared on. Turning around, waves would crash with their peaceful sound against one another. The tide rolled up onto the sands, then down again. He looked back towards the jungle and began his trek at a slow-pace, for he was in no rush to meet this colossal beast.

Yhl'Tili tracked the way, looking to claw marks, broken branches and leaves as he continued on. Like all things in life- everything needs water. So, Yhl'Tili trekked to the nearest body of water that he and Yhl'Flaaowni once found the mighty Collocuectli drinking from.

Sure enough, as he came upon that lake did he see Collocuectli. The massive beast, his size, blocked out the sun as his scorpion tale hung over it- an eternal symbol of a moon's crescent. His horns stood tall, as his body shimmered with plates of gold and chitin.

"Collocuectli" Yhl'Tilipotonqui said loudly in an affirmative tone as he declared his presence.

Collocuectli looked up, his large maw and killer eyes into Yhl'Tili as he rose up. And, of course, the sun was blocked out. Collocuectli spoke to him in pure Kharahatla

"Have you done what I asked?"

"Yes, I have dedicated our hunt to Braugmaw to you"

The beast stared at Yhl'Tili with that previous gaze described of a warrior. Yhl'Tili did not flinch or move, and matched that gaze back to Collocuectli.

"Good...good young warrior of mine" Collocuectli recognized Yhl'Tili's effort.

Yhl'Tili stood there before asking, "Great Collocuectli, the spirit of ambition and strength, I call upon you. My spear has torn through enemies, and my roars have echoed in your name. I seek your blessing to walk the path of the shaman as your champion, to honor you with every victory and spill my lifeblood in your name."

Collocuectli face sneered "You dare to ask a favor so boldly?", he said as his voice echoed and vertebrated, penetrating the canopies as the leaves and water rippled.

"I have prepared myself and done your tasks." Yhl'Tili stood tall and didn't stutter, nor a blink escaped his eye. "My spirit and my line will become a conduit of your will."

Collocuectli wrestled with his thoughts as he stared onto Yhl'Tili. He lunged at him- but Yhl'Tili didn't flinch. Collocuetli brought his face down directly infront of Yhl'Tili and opened his maw. It was sizes bigger than any Olog, especially that of the 20-ft Braugmaw. "RRRRRRAAAHHHH", he roared- but again, Yhl'Tili didn't bulge. His gaze was fixed as he was focused on earning this pact.

Collocuetli backed off and stared at Yhl'Tili with a raised brow, "Very well..." he said.

"Then rise, Yhl'Tilipotonqui, my champion and fang in the Mortal World. With every foe you fell, honor me. With every prayer you utter, bind yourself closer to me will. I gift you to feel the rhythm of blood and fury, a warrior's delight. But remember only thing at all... to break this pact is to invite my wrath, and I will devour your spirit whole."

Yhl'Tilipotonqui looked at Collocuectli before nodding, then hung his head "Yes Collocuectli!"

Collocuectli rose his mighty paw over Yhl'Tili and pressed it firmly onto him. Yhl'Tili's spirit warped and wrapped around as the waters grew darker.

Yh'Tilipotonqui looked up, "I accept this pact. Let my life be a testament to your glory"

"Go forth, warrior-shaman. Let me become amused as I watch over you..."

Yh'Tilipotonqui woke up drenched in sweat as he took the tunic of his head. He was about to be happy... until he broke into a catatonic state and fell limp and motionless. A dumb grin would leave on his face as he pacted with Collocuectli, the spirit of ambition and strength.
