SimonBane In-Character: -Character Name: Ryder Bane -What is your Race?: Human -Biography: Born in the rich Kingdom of Oren to a poor family. His father was a miner and his mother stayed home and took care of Ryder. Since the family was poor, the family could not afford even a small wooden house in the Kingdom. Ryder's father spent most of his days mining and eventually brought Ryder to the mines to learn the skill. Eventually Ryder became a talented Miner and became strong at the young age of 16. A year later his mother died leaving Ryder alone with his father to take care of him. But alas he died two years later, leaving Ryder a young man, with no possessions. This turned Ryder jealous over the Kingdom of Oren. Wanting a better life, Ryder began his criminal ways by stealing little things, like pots or vases. His agile abilities allowed him to quickly evade even the King’s Guard. By the time he was 21, he was known by many to be the most daring thief in the Kingdom. One day, while running away from the Guards with a crown owned by the King himself. He found what seemed to be a shrine. A stranger watched him from the trees. Ryder heard the sounds and quickly turned to face a person in a dark cloak, watching Ryder intently. He noticed that the stranger had red and black eyes, and a voice spoke to him in his head. The stranger knew about Ryder and his hatred towards the Kingdom and saw his true calling. Seeing the potential inside Ryder he spoke within his head, telling Ryder that he had a true calling and that he shared distaste for the Kingdom. Ryder came with the stranger and showed him a true being to worship; Iblees. Since then, Ryder has committed crimes punishable for death and has evaded arrest successfully. -Character Age: 29 -Character Appearance: Darkly clothed young man with metal gauntlets for protection. Then describe how they will be acted out on a daily basis, if they are a defining characteristic. -Deception: Deception is what we are AGAINST. We want people to believe and worship Iblees, the Fallen One. It does not define me nor my comrades. -Pride: Pride is the excuse the people of this world use for goodness. In my opinion, pride is weakness and should be thrown away. -Betrayal: Ahh... yes... betrayal. This is the main concept of the art of Manipulation. Through betrayal, we can turn our enemies against our own allies. We can instill what betrayal into the hearts of Kings and ruin world order! -Greed: Greed is what defines the poor. We do not need Minas to change the course of the world. Although it may be a great weapon to use to those who are susceptible to its charm. -Gluttony: Gluttony is for the rich and lazy. We not need eating unless needed. It is crucial not to waste resources we can use. The followers of Iblees are not of this description. -Sloth: Sloth... other people may be lazy but not us. Through hard work and determination, all will bow to Iblees! -Lust: Lust is what fuels us. It is our drive to create a world order and bring back Iblees. With lust, we can ravage towns, destroy Kingdoms, and murder Kings. We can implement this daily by using out lust for power to usurp the throne and create our new World Order! -Hatred: Hatred fuels our lust for power! We can use hatred for a reason to do what we do. Hatred can lead to power. Hatred leads to power. Power leads to Lust. Lust leads to determination. And Determination leads to Victory! -Wrath: Wrath, a fine word indeed. It describes the wrath of Iblees that will punish the world to become our slaves! Wrath can be used in extreme anger, a last resort of reserved power to destroy the enemies! They're extra for everyone else. -Is there any specific entity, person, or group of people to which your character submits completely, willingly, begrudgingly, or unwillingly? They must show they are truly passionate and will be sent on a mission to test if they are worthy. -Deep in his heart, who, if anyone, does your character believe is superior to him? Answer as an inner monologue from your character’s perspective.: In my heart, I believe that my master, the Priests of Iblees, and Iblees, the Fallen, are the only ones truly superior to me. I believe no one else can be more powerful than I. -Does your character trust in himself, or does he believe his abilities are due to some other driving force? Does he boast the truth of it or suppress all hint of it?: My character believes his abilities are due to another force at hand, in this, Iblees. The powers are scarcely used in order to surprise oncoming attackers. -Does your character trust the words or actions of others? Why and to what extent?: He only trusts the words and actions of his superiors and followers of Iblees. He trusts them with his life. Anyone else will be treated with suspicion. -What situations does your character prepare for ahead of time? How does he do this?: He plans grand schemes such as Regicide (killing of monarchs) and schemes that include murder or manipulation. He does this secretly at a lair with others that he trusts and executes it according to plan. Anything that isn't on plan will be "winged". -What, in essence, drives your character to the evil he commits most often? Are there complications that drive him to commit others, or is it the other way around?: His devotion to Iblees and hatred towards the Kingdom of Oren. His master also drives him in hopes that one day, he will be as great as him. His hope that one day Iblees will return from banishment and punish the Kingdoms. His lust for power also drives him to evil. In other crimes, the will to support the greater crimes he will commit drives him to do smaller crimes. -Is your character a villain or an antihero? What do you think the difference is?: He is a villain not an antihero. An antihero opposes the hero, but can still be allies with his faction/country/alliance/Kingdom.
