A Difficult Decision [PK]

Elmera Rose Von Rhoswald, sat in a unknown location writing letters, one to her brother Daniel, one to her brother Richard and lastly to her sister in law Savannah

After hearing of her mother's death, the woman cried and cried, life was so unfair, and she herself felt like a problem. Making so many mistakes, hurting someone she loved.

She could not take it anymore, as each letter was sent off to each person, Elmera moved from her location to another, finding the perfect or well so she thought in her mind way to die.

Standing on a edge of some cliff, she plunges a dagger into her heart and her body falls into the ocean. Never to be discovered. 

 

However in her thoughts she hoped each person she sent a letter too would be reading it and forgive her for the decision she made, once she arrived to the seven skies she met her mother

and father, hugging them tightly as if not wanting to let go.

Daniel von Rhoswald had had a busy day. In the morning he had collected a letter from the aviary, though he had scarcely begun reading it before his duties as Mayor demanded his attention. He folded the note, tucking it away in his pocket. He'd read it later.

 

Then later came. The sun was high in the sky, the city bustling with trade and spontaneous conversation. Daniel was still in mourning, after all, his mother had only recently died in his arms. Still, he was keeping himself blissfully busy, using the hustle and bustle of Elizabeth to distract himself from grief. The funeral would happen soon, and with it, peace. He stumbled upon the paper in his pocket. He'd read it later.

 

Orange hues marked the sky, a sign for Daniel to finally make his way home and end the day. As he collapsed on the couch, as always neglecting to eat, he heard a crinkle. Curiously, he reached into his pocket to retrieve a letter he had completely forgotten about. He opened the note, unfolding the by-now tattered paper. Perhaps it was a housing request, a business pursuit to entertain or a--

 

He paused, reading the words carefully. Then reading them again. And again, and again, scarcely believing his weary eyes. It was Elmera's handwriting, he eventually confirmed, though the contents of the letter only opened more questions. Why did Elmera think herself a failure? Why didn't she talk to him about this? Why...?

 

Daniel's older sister was dead, a revelation that would not dawn on him until the next morning. Daniel von Rhoswald cried himself to sleep that night, an increasingly common occurence. When he woke, he'd find the paper crumbled and torn, covered in dried tears.

 

They didn't even have a body, he thought to himself. Still, he now had to plan a funeral for two.

Once Savannah left her three year old with her grandmother, she decided to go for a walk. Her first stop to the aviary, grabbing the letter she felt excited, she never got a letter. She decided it be best to find a nice spot to read it, she went to the bridge and leans against the wall as she read quietly, "No, no, no, no, no!" she screamed at the letter tears started rolling on her cheeks. "Its a lie!" her legs slowly bent and she sat down "Please" she begged quietly, her crying non-stop, this was not only her sister in law but best friend, was she doomed to fail every friend she ever made? First Raenisa now Elmera, she hugs the letter and sat there crying for a good long while, she didn't care who passed by or saw her. 

 

After a while, she gained a bit of strength and stood to her feet, she went to find Daniel in hopes to help plan a funeral, even if no body was to be buried.
