In the most recent attack back against The Mountain, the dwedmar of The Grand Kingdom of Urguan recaptured the fortress Belkas Watch, aided in part by the forces of Koyo-Kuni and other individuals from the Western Front. The battle was long and arduous, yet all present fought valiantly and with honor, even in the presence of the legendary Chimera, which had seemingly either served or been controlled by The Mountain throughout the entire ordeal.

 

The Chimera, which seemed to be a natural apex predator of Aevos, proved to be a malevolent creature, one that was keen on the destruction of all that stood in its path, be it hunter, home, or nature. Truly, it was one of The Mountains' most powerful and fearsome combatants. None could be blamed for feeling fear and dread in its presence. 

 

HERO OF THE HUNT

ᚺᛖᚱᛟ ᛟᚠ ᛏᚺᛖ ᚺᚢᚾᛏ

 

However, throughout the battle, one dwed shone through the dark storms which loomed overhead, standing front and center against the Chimera. A dwed who had dedicated almost five decades of his life to hunting the beast, which not even Crothstad could fell. That dwed was none other than Gallio ‘Chimera’s Bane’ Grandaxe.

 

Empowered by the spirit of Crothstad, Gallio dove headlong into the fight, propelled forth by the magic of the Shaman Gusiam. Gallio sliced open the head of the Goat and aided in felling the Lion's head.  In the end, the beast was defeated, and at last, Gallio’s hunt came to an end, and Crothstad could rest in peace now that the beast was dead.

 

Throughout his life, Gallio has lived faithfully by the teachings of Anbella, personifying the Hearth Mothers' teachings of preserving the world we live in and valuing each soul that resides across the lands. By felling the beast of legend, Gallio not only brought peace to every soul that the Chimera had taken, but also aided in protecting the lands which the Chimera sought to destroy. 

 

It is for this reason that Da Kirkja Dverga bestows upon Gallio Grandaxe the title of ‘Living Hero of the Hunt’ and shall be recorded within the History of Urguan as a Hero of Anbella.
