The Inverted Sepulchre

The True Sepulchre

Seen from the Abyss

 

  You wake up choking on ash. The horizon stretches in every direction with black dunes rolling under a starless sky. There is no sun and  no sound. Only the pulse of your heartbeat that is… too loud, too alive for a place like this.

 

  You begin to walk. You don’t remember why you even do it, only that something deep in you insists there’s a destination. A pilgrimage? Your each step sinks too deep, as if the ground resists you, as if it wants to swallow you whole beneath your burdens.

 

  You are able to see shapes. Shadows carved from the same dark that surrounds you, swaying at the edge of your vision. Their faces look familiar, these are the ones you loved, the ones you lost and the ones you betrayed. They walk beside you without a word.

 

Then, the horizon shifts. In the distance stands a figure.

You Embraced the Bright Lie, The False prophets and gods.

 

ᛁ⸜ ╵ᛁ⸌ᛁ⸜ᛍᛁ וᛁ ᛙ╮⸍╮◟ᛁ ╵⸍ᛁ◟╵. ᛁ⸜ ⠃ˎˎ⸜⸌ᛁ╵╵ ⸜ᛁᛍᚽ⸍╵ ᛁ⸍ ╮ᚽᛁ╵ިᛁ◟╵. ⸍ᚽˎ╵ᛁ ╮ᛁו ⸝◟╵ ˎᛙ ⸝╵ᚽ ╵ᚽ⸝⸌⸌ ᚽ⸝◟

 

When the black veil drapes over the dying sky

╮ᚽᛁ⸜ וᛁ ި⸌⸝ᛍᛍ ╮ᛁᛁ⸌ ⸍◟⸝ިᛁ╵ ˎ╮ᛁ◟ וᛁ ⸍ᛁᛁ ╵ᛍᛁ

And the last star whispers its farewell into oblivion

Then shall the three-wounds of Truth unfold

⸍ᚽᛁ⸜ ╵ᚽ⸝⸌⸌ וᛁ ו◟ᛁᛁ-╮ˎ╮⸜⸍╵ ˎᛙ ⸍◟╮ו ╮⸜ᛙˎ⸌⸍

 

The Flesh shall betray and crumble

The Memory shall shatter

The Divinity shall tremble

ᛁ⸜ ╵ᛁ⸌ᛁ⸜ᛍᛁ וᛁ ᛙ╮⸍╮◟ᛁ ╵⸍ᛁ◟╵. ᛁ⸜ ⠃ˎˎ⸜⸌ᛁ╵╵ ⸜ᛁᛍᚽ⸍╵ ᛁ⸍ ╮ᚽᛁ╵ިᛁ◟╵. ⸍ᚽˎ╵ᛁ ╮ᛁו ⸝◟╵ ˎᛙ ⸝╵ᚽ ╵ᚽ⸝⸌⸌ ᚽ⸝◟

 

Yet here you stand before the wound, Before Me.

ᛁ⸜ ╵ᛁ⸌ᛁ⸜ᛍᛁ וᛁ ᛙ╮⸍╮◟ᛁ ╵⸍ᛁ◟╵. ᛁ⸜ ⠃ˎˎ⸜⸌ᛁ╵╵ ⸜ᛁᛍᚽ⸍╵ ᛁ⸍ ╮ᚽᛁ╵ިᛁ◟╵. ⸍ᚽˎ╵ᛁ ╮ᛁו ⸝◟╵ ˎᛙ ⸝╵ᚽ ╵ᚽ⸝⸌⸌ ᚽ⸝◟

 

I am the Witness.

I do not
slumber, nor dream, nor forgive.

Listen well, mortal of clay

For the veil grows thin and the breath of the Black Truth stirs once more

For I will rise, not as your savior, nor your doom, but as what has always been watching
