-Biography:

I was never very happy as a child. It was not like any of those fairy tales though. I was neither an orphan nor poor. On the contrary, my family was rather wealthy compared to our neighbors. They gave me anything I wanted. Everything except one thing and that one thing was what I wanted more than anything else. That thing was my freedom. I was forbidden to leave the grounds of my family’s estate and for the majority of my childhood the walls of my home were my prison. Every waking moment of free time that I had was spent in the library. Thus the books that I perused each and every day became my only friends. I spent years studying the ancient history of Aegis, from its creation by God to the fall of Iblees or painting pictures of far of places on countless canvases. My love of art and literature were the only things that spared me from falling to despair. Still I was unsatisfied with the life fate had bestowed on me. I wished to travel the world and see all the wonders that were so proudly advertised in the books that I read. Going to places like The Cloud Temple of Aegis and the city of Al'Khazar were things that I could only dream of. Eventually, I gave up hope of ever leaving my home.

This all changed when I was 15 years old. Just three days after my birthday, my whole life changed forever and the walls of my prison went tumbling down. On a blustery winter day, a mysterious stranger collapsed on my front doorstep. His clothes were ragged and dirty and his faced was bloodied up. Pitying him, my family tended to his wounds. Out of gratitude the stranger, Fabian, offered his services to my family. My father readily agreed so long as he would not take me outside. For three years, Fabian was my constant companion. He was what you would best call an adventurer, which meant that he traveled the world in search of wonders and excitement. It was with him that I first snuck outside my home and into the world beyond. Though it was only for a few hours at most, the world of Aegis was even more beautiful than I could have ever envisioned it. When my father found that Fabian and I had snuck out, he was beyond furious and threw Fabian back out into the cold.

I never saw Fabian again, but there was one thing that he had given me that would slowly spread and grow in me. It was the dream of finally visiting the world that ley beyond my home. While I respected my parents, I could no longer stand their overprotection. When spring arrived I forsook all that I ever had so that I could see the world of Aegis and all its glory.
