It was like any other day, as the day rose over the warm home of the Tawantinsuyin, a wondrous tale unfolded akin to the whispers of the ancients.

Kusi Amaru, a child of divine bronze, dwelled within the grand hearth of his noble lineage, the Panaka of Leomonte. There, in the revered halls of Qurikancha, he was surrounded by the warm embrace of adoration and the watchful shadows of fate.

Lo, as the sun cast its golden rays upon the earth, young Kusi, fierce as a tempest, danced and played beneath the vigilant gaze of the Tawantinsuyin Lord, Rodrigo Tupaq Amaru. Armed with a mace, he struck at the hollow skull of a she-uruk, treating it as a rattle, a symbol of his fierce spirit. Yet unbeknownst to him, lurking beneath the surface of innocence, the emissaries of Supay, the dark lord of the underworld, lay in wait. . . Amarus, twin serpents of ferocity, coiled and ready to strike.

Rodrigo Tupaq Amaru, the proud father, watched with a heart full of mirth, his eyes reflecting the labor of his hands. But then, the slumbering serpents stirred, for young Kusi's gaze fell upon them. With eyes like midnight, he beheld their shimmering forms and, lifting his 'rattle' unto the heavens, summoned the forces of fate. In that moment, a radiant alabaster light enveloped the scene, casting shadows into oblivion and blinding the wicked serpents.

In the blink of an eye, the child of prophecy asserted his divine right. With the strength bestowed upon him, Kusi grasped one serpent, and in a display of primal might, he sundered its neck as though it were a mere reed. The other serpent would strike upon the child in counter to the ferocity displayed, bringing down its maw upon its bronze visage and scarring the boy permanently.

Yet this would not bring the boy to falter, and in a profound swiftness would he bring his macana wrought of bronze high aloft to the heavens, and crash it down upon the final serpent of Supay! With such a primal destruction of his foes, the youth would cry in pain and in triumph, a roar that would quake the earth.

The heavens have borne witness to the birth of this youthful warrior, marking the day in the annals of legend, forever echoing the strength of the Tawantinsuyin. From that fateful day forth, a sacred current surged through this boy’s veins, a divine gift unparalleled amongst mortals. This extraordinary display of strength has drawn the favor of He Who Rises Above, for the eyes of this child are granted the vision to behold all of creation.

Kusi! You!– you are incredible. . . a true warrior, you are destined for greatness.

Kusi Amaru Leomonte moved through the chambers of his playroom, not in chase as before. The head of Gharak’Yar lay forgotten, and the child turned and danced, drawn by presences unseen.

The shades were there–the forefathers, the earth-treaders of old. They stood and passed as he passed, and the child moved free among them, for they knew him and acknowledged him. Blessing rested on Kusi Amaru– his future held fast.

From within the halls of Viru did Lilithene write to her father, words of greatness of her very son...

"Do you think Mama would be proud? That I have assisted in bringing such a little warrior into this world?"
