PROCLAMATION OF SERVANTRY AT GLASGON

To all who read or hear this notice, that the Janis court of Castle Glasgon, the Archducal seat of our princely house of Alstion, does now seek able hands to enter into its service. For a castle does not stand only by its stone, but by the labours of those who tend to it day by day; who scour the floors till they shine, chase dust from each painting and shelf, and toil to prepare fitting meals for our princely family and their guests.

Thus, places stand open within this household for any man or woman of good conduct who would take up honest employ as a footman, cupbearer, cook, or handmaid in service to the Janis court.

 

Those taken into service shall be granted lodging within the castle walls, and a starting wage of two farthings per year, with additional coin rendered for special occasions and notable service, the measure of which shall be set according to the significance and length of the duty performed. 

 

All who seek steady work and place within a well-ordered household are bid to present themselves and inquire further with the Lady Seneschal, Casilde de Belmyre.
