Sr_Dimentio 586 Share Posted February 4 Old: Spoiler REVIVAL - Rite of Return: Requires: (1) Tier-4 necromancer or (1) Paramount. Use: (30 minute) cooldown after death. (instant) by an Archlich. The necromancer, who once raised the Ghoul, can hear its deafening wails echo in their mind. A tier-4 necromancer can use the rite of return in order to drag the soul of a Ghoul back into the mortal-world; life-force will surge into the corpse, and force the Ghoul to rise yet again. REDLINES: ➣ The Rite of Return is a simple revival mechanic for Ghouls, without overcomplicating it. ➣ The Rite of Return is extremely free-form in terms of aesthetic, as long as the general idea is used, which includes grasping the soul of the Ghoul and dragging it into a new corpse. For example, a necromancer can choose to draw runes and sigils on the new corpse, and then do the rite for roleplay flare. ➣ The necromancer who raised them can hear the wails of their deceased Ghoul, signifying its death. ➣ Upon finishing the ritual, the Ghoul-player can continue to play their persona. ➣ When a Ghoul dies (before the rite is commenced to bring them back), they must always drop all items on their person. This is because they are moving from one broken body, into a new one. ➣ A tier-four necromancer or paramount must wait (30) minutes after the death of the Ghoul before reviving them. However, an Archlich may do this instantly. ➣ The Rite of Return cannot be used in combat. This is done to avoid a Ghoul instantly being revived after being felled in combat. There is no emote-requirement in order to cast, as the ritual is freeform. ➣ If a Ghoul is killed, a Mystic may raise it as a Ghost or Paleknight CA, severing it from the Necromancer. This, however, requires OOC consent from the ghoul player. This change cannot be reversed once done. ➣ The Necromancer in control of the ghoul will hear its wail upon death, but also be aware of its severing from bound servitude if turned into a Ghost. They, however, do not know any specifics of the severing. Only that the Ghoul is no longer in control. New: Spoiler REVIVAL - Rite of Return: Requires: (1) Tier-4 necromancer or (1) Paramount. Reason: Spoiler At first I wanted to make a new ghoul revival system for this CA to revive on their own, but after some thinking and feedback, I think this kind of amendment should be thought much more and not be my first amendment, too much... So instead, I think this weird rule of dropping all the items on death should be completly deleted, by logic, everyone should drop their things after death, and draugars and darkstalkers also change bodies and they're not forced to do this. It's just an outdated rule that I think shouldn't exist.

Mestvin 953 Share Posted February 5 So you're telling me, to PK an unruly lvl 1 goon we need 5 necromancers with the knowledge of sundering (Which is going to be gatekept) is a good idea. Personally i dont see any issues with the current system, if a necromancer is inactive or quips that they must revive a ghoul - just find another. Ghoul is basic trial villain CA, if they do good they ascend if not they probably go inactive anyway.
