It has long been overdue to announce the next cycle of Mayoral elections. The Imperial Chancellery extends its thanks to Mister Gennad Var Vigo for his service as the first Lord Mayor of Rittersberg, and for his assistance in crafting Rittersberg’s City Charter alongside our good Archchancellor. We hope he has found peace in his well-earned retirement.

 

The Mayoral Ballot of 640 AA is hereby opened. Any citizen wishing to stand for election as Mayor of Rittersberg must register publicly before the Imperial Chancellery. Only citizens of Rittersberg shall be admitted to the ballot and be able to cast a vote.

 

Citizens intending to run for Mayor must submit their candidacy in response to this notice no later than dusk of Owyn’s Light (Thursday at 11:30 pm EST). Voting shall commence at dawn of Godfrey’s Triumph (Friday at 10 am EST), and the results shall be announced by dusk of Aurelian’s Glory (Saturday at 10 pm EST).

I, Sebastien Jean Chastel, was raised in the streets of Rittersburg. Its people are not strangers to me, they are my neighbors, my patrons, my friends. When the city thrives, I thrive. When it struggles, I feel it just the same.

I oversaw the expansion of The Pour House, our Imperial Capital’s tavern, watching it grow from a humble hall into a lively gathering place that continues to serve good drink and warm meals to the folk of this city. I also stood among the founding members of the Imperial Business Association, a guild built to strengthen our merchant markets and support the artisans and traders who keep the Empire’s heart beating. In my months serving as steward, I have already begun drafting and setting in motion civil plans aimed at improving daily life within Rittersburg. I do not speak of change lightly. I work toward it.

     I, Archie Mareno, was raised besides the sea of Myrine. At a young age I was invited to partake in the bookkeeping of my family's business. Since then, The Marneo Company has become a household name within Rittersburg. The people of Rittersburg and I have the healthiest business relationship in the sophisticated World.

     The city does not need a friend for a Mayor, It requires a tried & true leader, an adapter of change, and at times, an unpleasant authority of LAW. While other candidates spew lies over their past & future ambitions, Archie Mareno remains true and just. Which is needed most in this holy war.
