The Vanari’s Claim for Annilir

May the words gracing the parchment find all of you who read it well and with good fortune. I write to all of the Elves of Caurost, my people, to whom I and others took an oath to defend their lives, rights, and our way of life. I write to the High Prince and his High Council, whose will,  decrees, and principles I enact and ensure that they are upheld, and I write to those who don the same plate as I, the elHileia’evaran.  

 

You may know me from holding a seat in our Congress of Common,  helping new arrivals find a house in our Princedom, from manning the bar at the Dancing Nymph, or from the work I found the most pride in, that of serving our realm as a Soldier. But for those who do not know me;

 

My name is Ellathor Vanari, the eldest son of Lunah and Amethyst, Lightbringer.

 

With the abdication of our former elAnnilir, Veluc Strixxi, I henceforth present my wish to take his place as the next General of the High Prince’s Peacekeepers. 

 

Of my deeds and reasons for why I should be granted this seat, they remain the same as when I joined the Congress. I know that experience and knowledge can only bring that much favour, and in more deeds done, you prove that you are truly deserving of the prestige and duty of such a title. 

 

From Almaris, to Aevos, and now to Azuras, there is no oath I have broken, no promises I did not keep. In this, my honour lies, and should I be bestowed with the duty of Annilir, all of Caurost will have my word that I will strive only for greatness.
