HEED, LEAL SONS OF HOREN;

. . . and have it be known by our Imperial Writ that Cassius of the House Tiber is henceforth, in perpetuity through the will of the Crown, afforded the stewardship of - hereinafter referred to as only ‘coronet’ - the title of Barony of Hartwell through the instrument of vassalage detailed via this document.

It follows the House Tiber’s storied service to the Empire in the siege of Salvo, and the personal accomplishments of Cassius Tiber and his ilk, that we deem the Barony of Hartwell of the sobriety and sound mind necessary for bearing the responsibility of this coronet.

The rights of vassalage are recognized and confirmed forthwith upon the promulgation of this instrument, afforded now and to Cassius Tiber generations, passing the titles, lands, and coronet to a designated heir at the time of death, abdication, or otherwise.

The obligations of vassalage are inscribed to be compulsory for now and all ages, unless they are amended by strictly written and promulgated consent of the Emperor, to be as thus;

Collect and administer taxes, be it over land, housing, or commerce within their coronet,

Uphold law and peace within their coronet, in accordance with Imperial and local laws,

Pay the negotiated tribute to the Imperial Crown,

Counsel and advice in times of peace,

And raise levies, donate weaponry, and make resources available in the Empire’s defence.

Let it be known, henceforth;

Furthermore, for their excellent service, those of Cassius’s pedigree shall henceforth be elevated into the ranks of the Court of the Dragonsblood, and may bear the dragon as their arms.

Cassius twirls his stache, and then fixes his beret. “We did some fine work, eh?” He pressed the cigar against his lips.

Lionel Tiber wiped down his face with a soot-stained cloth, an exasperated sigh rolling out his maw. "Hyup, job done mate."

Roswyn Halcourt walked over to her brother's home within Alba, and simply walked in without a knock,"Rothwin, did you know that there are more Tibers? Did you meet these ones when you found Diane?"

“How amusing,” Diane of Beaufort mumbled unto her dearest attendants. “They greeted me with manacles yet hold open arms for mine nephews.” Hilarity held against her tongue without repose. Quite fascinating it was, to watch House Tiber’s repute amongst the Imperium shift so suddenly. Yet, greater than all else, it was pride which held against her very spirit. That eve, within the quiet of Glasgon's antechambers, the Duchess would raise her goblet in toast to those nephews of hers. And come that morning, the Prince of Beaufort would find a bouquet of lilacs within his encampment's tent.
