A SUMMONS TO ALL WITHIN THE REALM

Issued by HIGH-KING HARALDR, on this day of 17th of IAÁ ASKR AR 612, AGE OF REKINDLING; 

 

 

HEED MY HEARTH,

 

 It is perhaps in times of peace that we find ourselves most vulnerable. Vulnerable to both internal and external threats. Whilst we may celebrate this brief period of respite, it cannot come at the detriment and deterioration of our strength, this has become apparent more so than ever, for as the calling of the cleansing of the black church is imperative, we must not forego matters which harm our borders.

 

We thought it was so, that in this period of nothingness, that our way of life was secured, it was protected beneath the ancient banner of Thoromir and his sons; the Rurikidd. But this is not so, for as we may best enemies on land, there is one now in the air, one kin of the dragons; a wyvern who comes to assail the Hearth with its own kin. Thus far, any and all dealings against this enemy have come in the form of broken responses, ones where preparations on the ground have left those who look to defend at a serious disadvantage.

 

Attentive as they are, this cannot be the way forwards and now; perhaps at a time later then what was necessary, all those of the Hearth and her Allies are called and summoned to deliberate, to share, to learn and to put forth a plan for not mere individuals, but for the realm at large. All members of the Red Council, those of the High-Hearth and the Eldrhird are required to be present. So shall Magnus and his sons be requested, Torfinn and his sons alongside all those who have previously fought this blooded Wyvern.
