11th of Aurelian’s Glory

D.   C.   L.   VII.

H E E D ,  L E A L  S O N S  O F  H O R E N ;

DURING THIS TIME OF dire need, the citizenry of the Imperium are humbly beckoned step forth and aid those upon the front lines of the Pontiff’s Crusades. Blessed are we, that people are willing to go forth for the betterment of the realm, ridding the lands of Azuras from Ibleesian spawn.

It is now that we courtiers of the Celosian Court call upon you, who sit within the comfort of your home rather than a cot in a mud-floored tent as our Crusaders do bring forth your aid. An eve of Alms shall be hosted within the halls of the Celosian Palace, where goodly denizens may donate anything of use to the Crusade.

Eirene wipes grime from her brow, stamping her signature onto the document from a humble (pink) tent in Sternfell.

"Seems their crusade is failing, maybe. . .  I can help a bit, they aren't maleficars but. . . might as well. They are out here, day and night, fighting for what they believe in. . ."
The Specter sighed as he folded the missive and stood before getting his sacks ready.
"Why not? . ."

Shhk. Shhk. Shhk. The sabre leaves the scabbard for but a second before returning. Over and over again it does. For a second at a time, the cold steel reflects the glow of the fireplace, before hiding away again. Jean paces around the room, fidgeting rhythmically, tirelessly, with that weapon. It has been cleaned four times already. Anything to keep him occupied. Orchere’s damp stones are often terribly cooling this late at night, or early in the morning, to tell the whole truth, and the fire only keeps it just tolerable. Banners hang loosely from the wooden boards of the ceiling. Banners flutter in the breeze as the group approaches Sternfell in the golden, salt-soaked evening. Shhk. Shhk. Shhk. This is the first time he has returned to Orchere in months. There, a lonely goblet of cooled, half-empty mulled wine sits on the table, reflecting the light, pushing it in all directions. Such a glass would be a luxury back there. ‘It is odd,’ he thinks to himself, ‘such a thing is.’
