Opal woke to the sound of someone pounding on the cave. A visitor she thought? Ugroth was still sleeping soundly and since she didn't know what time he finally went into his den to sleep she didn't want to wake him unnecessarily.

She quietly walked over to the door, climbing up on the little step Ugroth had made for her so she could reach the window in the door and see outside. She peeked out and spotted someone all dressed in armour - it was the kind everyone wore, she had yet to figure out what it was called. Ugroth didn't wear that kind. She thought maybe it was a fashion statement or something. It was another thing she would have to ask Ugroth about.

She watch the stranger curiously, they were hammering a paper onto the cave entrance. Ugroth had reinforced the front of the cave with wood and it had become common practice to find notes on it.

She finally caught a grunt from the stranger, "Ah, male and orc" she thought. She sighed a breath of relief, so far all the orcs she had met out in the Wilds had been friendly towards her.

She got down off the step, placing it neatly back in it's spot near the door along the wall. She straightened the dress she had made with the leather Ugroth had brought back on one of his excursions into the woods nearby, and adjusted her hair band, neatening her hair as best she could without the aid of a mirror. That was something she missed from her Da's house back in Dunwood.

Cautiously she opened the door and ventured out hoping her assumption was right.

The stranger upon hearing the door open, grabbed at his sword, Opal looked up to the stranger's shielded face wide eyed, praying he would see her tiny stature and green skin then realize she was no threat to him. He released the sword handle and took off his helmet.

The next several paragraphs of the story have been heavily edited. Basically, a certain Elder Shaman, who will remain nameless revealing a very deep secret a certain tiny orc had, and was horrified to have it revealed, then the nameless Elder Shaman preformed an unnamed enchantment and granted the little orc's most cherished wish which shall remain untold. All this heavy editing is due to the nameless Elder Shaman's promise to "flatten" the little ore should she ever reveal who he was or what he had done to any orc. This little orc doesn't quiet know what ing flatten entails but doesn't want to find out anytime soon. The nameless Shaman has allowed her to tell her Da in a letter home though.

(STORY CONTINUES)...

The stranger put all the items he had used for his unnamed enchantment back into his sack, turning to the little orc he grunted quietly so as not to wake the other orc sleeping elsewhere in the cave. "Lat a true feorc now, lat need a gud feorc name" He looked her over and with a smirk said "Jutra lat name now."

He put his armour back on silently and started for the door, "Umm," said the little orc, "Does it have a meaning in orc blah?" she asked hesitantly.

"Yub" he grunted as he opened the door and walked out of the cave. "Giant"

She frowned in confusion at what the orc has said, then a smile spread across "Jutra"'s face as she 'got it". She heard the Shaman's "Hur Hur's being carried over the wind.

"Funny, very funny" she thought as she went to read the note the Shaman had attached to her cave.

Jutra read over the note few times so she could understood it. Orc blah was not first language. Her eye widened and excitement bubbled up inside her as took the note and raced to Ugroth's den.

"Ugroth" she said quietly so as to not wake him too suddenly. "The warlord left us a note", trying to choose her word carefully. She hated the fact that she couldn't tell her new friend what had happened but being flattened didn't sound like a pleasant thing. "He's promised us more patrols around here, magical chests to protect our stuff from thieves, and a shop in the city if we want one!

Ugroth eyed his new friend cautiously. Opal, Jutra her name was Jutra now, knew he knew she wasn't telling him everything but there wasn't anything she could do about it. She didn't want her friend ending up flat if she told him what had happened. "So do lat want to set up a shop in the city?" she quarried, hoping to keep the conversation on the topic she could talk about. Ugroth gave his usual grunt and nod, and Jutra was relieved she didn't have to talk about the unmentionable happenings that took place in the cave. She was determined to make sure her Da knew what had happened though, She was going to burst if she couldn't tell someone.

Telling Ugroth about her name change would have wait a bit, right now they had to make preparations to travel to the City if they wanted to catch the most sunlight while traveling.
