Cyndikate 2303 Share Posted January 13, 2012 Out-Of-Character: Minecraft Account Name: Cyndikate Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No. How old are you?: 22 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Eastern Time/United States Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I'm currently in college studying Multimedia and web design. I play minecraft during my free time. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Every day, for about 3 hours or more a week. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Roleplaying is immersing into your character's point of view, immersing into your character's world, and understanding him or her, and knowing what he or she will do in a situation. Understanding what life is like in your character's eyes. As a RPer, you have to understand your character's strengths, weaknesses, personality, and ambitions and act it out in the RP world. It is also important to understand the world your character lives in. I've learned something when I've roleplayed, and it's that each and every character has their own unique role in a storyline. It doesn't matter if he or she is a king or queen, knight, or hero. He or she could be an average joe. Each character will contribute in their own way to a deeper plot. Each character possesses a quality that makes them special in the storyline. In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are. Meta-gaming is when you obtain information OOC that your character doesn't know in game, and using that to your advantage. Like for example, a character taking revenge for his parents' death when the roleplayer knew it from global or OOC chat, but his character doesn't know it. Power-gaming is when you force a player to do what you want, for example, Jeff stabs Steve and kills him. What do you expect this server will be like?: Roleplaying with a lot of cool events and plot twists. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've played on Roleplay Revolution and Crafthammer. I have not left those servers, but I was searching for a server because #1, neither server was very active or populated, and #2, I'd like to play on more RP servers. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, and I will abide by them as if set in stone. How did you hear about us?: I googled for some RP skins and ran into a featured skin page. Also, I found your thread on the minecraft forums, Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you? I did vote, but I don't remember what number. I didn't know I was supposed to keep track of that. What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Cyndikate In-Character: Character Name: Cynera What is your Race?: Elf Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Cynera's mother was always very protective of her, which was understandable seeing as Cynera's older brother, Kyrod, who was a respected explorer and scholar, was missing for years. Her mother has always emphasized(if not exaggerated) the dangers of the outside world. But Cynera wanted to see everything that the earth has to offer. She never wanted to be enclosed and limited to her home and family. She knew that there were more places to go besides the town where she resides, more people to see. Cynera desired nothing more than to see the world. She told her mother that, and her mother forbade her to leave. The very thing that Cynera hated more than anything was to be treated like a child. She wanted to prove to her mother that she can be independent and can handle her own in the outside world. That night, Cynera snuck in to her family's shed, took her father's bow and arrows and ran away from home. Those nights she spent away from home was scary and difficult. She had no food, no water, and no supplies but her bow and arrows. She wasn't prepared for what the wilderness had in store for her. The only tool she had for her own survival was her skill in archery. Cynera thought of home, and knew that she’d be much safer there than out in the wild. It didn’t matter to her. This was it. There was no going back home to the family that never gave her a chance at independence and adventure. Instead of contemplating, she held her head up high. She had something to prove to her mother. She stood on her two feet and went forward. She found a village, and that was when she knew that the first thing that she needed to do is find a place to work. Cynera is 19 years old, and has blond hair and hazel eyes. She hates being treated like a child, and no matter what, she always has something to prove. She's an adventurous, and curious, and never afraid to speak her mind. Whatever challenge or obstacle comes her way, she's going to take it and plow through it, whatever it takes. She's very open minded to other cultures and points of view. She's always kind, and will always stop to help others in need. Cynera has a thirst for excitement and adventure, and she loves exploring, just like her older brother. Your characters ambitions: She desires adventure and independence from her over protective family. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Cynera would rush in to help the Elf out. She will do whatever she can to fight off the bandits. Afterwards, when the bandits are dealt with, she will tend to the Elf's injuries. Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? She would ask the shop owner what he has on sale, and if he has what she is looking for, she will buy.
