Religious_Pie 127 Share Posted January 30, 2012 *A thick stack of papers is tacked to the Notice board, with a thin lining of Gold, like that of a gold-leaf, rims the edges, like the borders of a nation. Within the notice, are words that read as such; * Hail Citizens, travelers, and all others, today, I present to you, the Town, of New Sorovitz, after our desolation in Aegis, the Hochmeister has granted us the Snowy Mountains as our place of rest, the Technikern shall start processing our new fields of Lumber, and of Wheat, each supplying the entirety of Hanseti with a mass of commodities. The Town, is a Resource town, therefore, it is constantly working, with every passing day, new resources are gathered, and said resources are used, within this town However, lies the ability to start-a-new, it's streets, that of the most beautiful architecture, it's houses, that of intuitive design, and it's veins, will run thick with the newest technology, it shall be a populace, of happy, working, well-payed people. The Town does offer housing, for a small price, its distance from the rest of Asulon, marketing it's properties lower than that of most other Settlements, the Houses, shops, Huts and "Turrets" all affordable with ease, if a House of prestigious rank, and worth more than the price of 7,500 Minas, no tax is required. If a "Turret" is bought, only 250 Minas are required per Elven week, however, these homes cost at the average price, of 1,000 Minas, and, if convinced, can be granted for free, by the Landmeister, Horus. The Next home, a, or "Huts", are that of which land is granted along with it, they are around 2-4000 each, and varying tremendously in size, tax is not required in these properties, but instead, we ask that you supply us with the minimum amount of resource you collect, or a "Tithe" Farming Hut: Near the farms of the Church's lands, these hut's come with a "Chunk" of land, roughly 16 meters by 16 meters, within this land, over 256 pieces of wheat may be gathered per harvest, at first, seeds will be supplied, but from then on, seeds will have to be gathered yourself. Tithe: 3 Stacks of Wheat per Elven Week. Mining Hut: Near the Complex of Quarries and mine-shafts, these hut's will come with a 10 meters by 10 meters plot of land, that will be expected to eventually be completely dug out, and supports required, all of the offspring of this is required to be given as a tithe, however, cobble, and SOME Iron may be used to construct pickaxes. You will also be required to work within the Mines, gathering Cobble, but Not Ores. Tithe: 6 Stacks of Cobble, any Ores, what is gathered from the Hut's private quarry. Lumbering Hut: Near the lushous forests within the Snowy Mountains, these huts come with no land, but exist right next to, and have an entrance to, the Lumber-Fields, you will be expected to Cut these trees, and ALWAYS replace with a Sapling, any caught without placing saplings will have to play +1 stack of Lumber for the Tithe. Tithe: 4 Stacks of Redwood +1 stack of Any-Log. Religion: The Religion of Viera is extremely predominant within New Sorovitz, the Church holds a large slot of land, and "Donations" from the peasants Villagers are greatly appreciated, the Church has various posts, temples, and other such constructs throughout the Town, and the Word of it's Leader, Jorgen Reimer, is highly respected throughout, however, his appeals are overstepped by that of the Hochmeister, Landmeister or Zaubermeister. Politics: The Politics within Sorovitz is very simple, the list below shows the power, and why they have, said power. 1) The Hochmeister; Master of Hanseti, his law is final, and must be followed, he is entirely capable to overthrow the Landmeister. 2) The Landmeister; Master of his town, the rule of the Landmeister, shall be the law, and shall show the direction of the town and it's possibilities, the Landmeister's word is final when dealing with his town, but is override-able by the decision of the rest of the council. 3) The Zaubermeister; The man who saved the town, when in it's desperate times, The Zaubermeister is respected within the town, also, when the Landmeister is not present, the Zaubermeister will take control of the town, and be head of all actions it takes, unless voted otherwise by the rest of the council, or the Hochmeister. 4) The Vizier; That of which is in charge of the Church, and of the proclamation of Viera as a whole, his word is respected from a Religious point of view, and defying him can be seen by some, as defying the word of Honra, the Vizier owns the land of the Church, and can force any citizen to give him what he pleases, unless high-ranks would see this as Unfair, and/or unneeded. 5) The Vorarbeiter; Head of the masons guild, the Vorarbeiter is head of construction and the supplies of the town, and shall be there to make sure money is passed to those who work in his guild, and to that of the Hauptmann for the military. When the Zaubermeister, nor the landmeister is not present, the Vorarbeiter shall take charge of the town, along with the Hauptmann. 5:1) The Hauptmann; Head of the military, the Hauptmann is equivalent to the High-Constable of another town, and is therefore respected and feared throughout the town, he will be there to make sure that the town is well guarded, prepared, and has an active watch of Guards and an Army ready to attack at any Order. The Hauptmann follows the same orders, from the same chain as the Vorarbeiter, and is equal to the Vorarbeiter. 6) Meister's; Those who have become powerful in the town, although they have no place within the council, the Meister's will have a large influence on the way the town is run. *as you finish reading the stack of papers, you look off to the East, wondering about the town, as the cold wind from the South continues to wisp around the curves and shapes of your face.
