Sauros runs his rough fingers across the brush as he pulls tufts out methodically and scatters the dry weeds across the growing fire. Closing his eyes slowly as he falls deep into thought as he remembers the oral tradition passed down by his father and mother about the Hansetians ancestry, he glances at the others seated upon haphazardly placed logs and a few kneeling and warming themselves. He slowly gyrates his feet to make for a odd stepping as he circles unevenly around the fire and runs his tongue across his teeth to remove the glaze of fat left by chewed meat he had just enjoyed. He meets the eyes of few of his companions as he quietly observes the scene of utter survival in the once warming desert now befallen in the cold wash of lunar reflection. He then straightens himself up in front of the fire and swiftly bends his knee and sends hisself sitting on the grass and falling back on one shoulder as he lays sideways and begins to speak to the people accompanying him; now alert after seeing his quick movement.

Yoo' all are the ones who accawm'pany me heer' unlike all aw'thurs' and have agreed to stay awt' heer' in tha' harsh desurt', yoo' paw'siun' to learn mawch' frawm' me will be returned this night. See... Many get excited to knaw' that I knaw' much moor' abawt' the Hanseti than mawst'. Even those within Hanseti cawr'runtly do not knaw' the vast history that once resided, they do nawt' undah'stand that they rest on wah't was laurels of civilization. My Fathur's Father and even further back had separated from Trinskiril, the Southern Land. The Subudai wur' the nomads that migrated North and becawm' accustomed to these desurts' and steppes! Through my peepul's oral tradition, I hav' luckily remembered mawch' of the past, but yoo' seek to knaw' haw' I came to Aegis and returned heer', stunned to see no peepul' lasting?

Sauros Alanbaatar notices that a few of the companions show signs of confusion and chuckles as he thinks to himself that they are unable to understand his accent and vernacular ways. Sauros clears his throat and spits flim into the fire and continues...

Yoo' all cawn't undah'stand my accent aye? Let me try to speek' clearur'.

You will be dumbfounded, I would not be surprised if a few of you have complete disbelief in what I say, but that is unfortunate and I seek not to make believers of scholars. I had accompanied Gaius Marius to Aegis, due to his being press-ganged into his father's collective of mercenaries as they attempted to displace a few of the Hanseti villages and townships, he became accustomed to more violent methods of dealing with the slightest of issues. The Hanseti remembered full well why they had sought the Wandering Wizard allow them to gain undesired, unfounded, and uncontested fertile land and they did not wish to be plagued with Gaius's tendencies we can say. After confrontations with the Mayor of the City of Campani about the offenses that he had conducted after the mutiny he forced against his father, Gaius grew bitter with how he was being treated and often times debated that his way would serve Hanseti well. After collaboration with the Subudai, Hanseti agreed that they would confront Gaius once more and seek that he remove himself from the land and attempt to seek Aegis again to continue his ambitions where war was looked at more with respect.

You may ask, why not send Gaius by himself and exile him that simply? The Hansetians had feared that sending him alone may be an ill-thought idea for they feared that Gaius in his stupor and embarrassment that would have derived from this meeting possibly, he would inform whom he would find in Aegis about the location of his Father-Tribe and seek vengeance. Thus I along with few others were sent to accompany him on his journey back from whence we came originally. We were tasked to ensure that he would not divulge such precious information and cause the security of Hanseti to be troubled furthermore. They seeked us Subudai, because admittingly Gaius did have some supporters within the central tribe and those in power did not want a mutiny to occur en route or any trouble to occur...
