Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I think I'm pretty good in speaking English whereat I'm no native speaker and do mistakes like everybody does.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I now started to study in Aschaffenburg. When I get home I mostly end the day with some gaming or going out with friends.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I think 20 hours a week

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is like switching in another character who directly responds to you and acts like you want him to act. The player should breathe new life in a new character like a puppeteer brings a puppet to life. Considering that this character is connected with you and you see through his eyes thus it's a way of experiencing a new world.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming:

A person let its character benefit from his real experience and tries to gain a better position for his character that the character himself would never achieve because he mostly hasn’t got the knowledge. The Character is not the one who thinks – it’s the person who controls it.

 

Powergaming:

Those people stay in a continuous competition with other players. A powergamer’s aim is always to be better as other people – like maximizing his character’s skills and equipment by taking advantage of control gaps. Only advantages are in the spotlight and other people don’t have the chance to react if it comes to combat between them.

What do you expect this server will be like?: Connecting Minecraft with roleplaying + a great community is exactly what i searched and yet hopefully found.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: On a friend's server - but without creeps and active members so it's getting pretty lame after time.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

It was a stormy night when Atarius saw the light of day for the first time and with a new life starting, the life of his mother ended due to childbirth. Atarius, born in a modest and simple family of blacksmiths in Malinor who lived outside of normal society, inherited nearly the same visual nature and character traits like his father Turalan: He has black hair, green eyes and everyone in his environment quickly noticed that he will be as tall as his father one day but no one instead of his father noticed his mother’s finesse. Turalan was one of those humans who appeared as a born leader but family and friends knew that he was a different man on the inside. He always wanted Atarius to join the family tradition to become a blacksmith - like his father and his father before him - too. But Turalan quickly noticed that this was not the path Atarius had to take. Atarius tried his whole life to be as physically and mentally strong as his father but he was always inferior to him – except in cleverness and dexterity.

In his childhood Atarius always wanted to find new things and he never had much fun with stuff he possessed long. From the very beginning he loved climbing because it helped him to get his mind clear from thoughts he disliked. He often tried to sneak out of his house to enjoy the look out of the highest tree to feel free like a bird and imagine what lies far beyond his dreams in that mystic land.

Due to that point Atarius developed a feeling of being totally unbound, which was quickly noticed by his father. In order to let him find his own way he trained him in some useful things so that he can live for his own when the day comes.

Turalan however noticed a strange but special attribute in his son’s behavior which was strongly connected to his will of being free: his thirst for justice and fairness.

Atarius was 12 years old when his father came to his room carrying 2 wooden swords to practice fighting with him.

Turalan directly noticed that Atarius was not really good in fighting with a sword. He was not able to fight just with one hand and his basic movements were far beyond acceptance. Those facts stood in a real contradiction with the abilities he learned while being outside so Turalan gave it a second try and one week later he came to him with a quarterstaff so he could use both hands to fight.

However Turalan was impressed by his son’s abilities holding that staff as if he had already trained with it. Atarius’ movements reminded him on those days when his son tried to sneak out of the house and climb on trees and rocks just to get the feeling of freedom. He was in total harmony with himself.

So Turalan decided to let him be trained by someone who knew how to fight with a staff to get the basics.

Atarius grew up and with him his skills in fighting improved. In the morning he helped his father at work and after that he trained outside in the forest.

On Atarius 18th birthday he woke up and looked over his room seeing his staff with a new equipment: 1 Scimitar forged on every side of his quarterstaff which made it a deadly weapon.

He went down to his father: ”Atarius, you are old enough now to take care of yourself and we live in hard times so I made some little fixes to your weapon” Turalan said with a little smile. “The day will come when it is time for you to take your own path – happy birthday, my son”.

Exactly 3 years later the day came. Atarius woke up and saw a packed backpack in front of his bed, so he went down to his father and asked him. Turalan just said with a similar smile he had when modificating his weapon: “It’s time for you to take your own way and I know that you won’t disappear by your own – so I assist you. Go! Take your things and be that adventurer, that free man you always wanted to be! I am proud to be your father, Atarius – happy birthday”.

He left his home to let everything what happened in the past behind to start a new life in that world he yet just knew nothing about.

Your characters ambitions: Get to know more about other races and cultures; protect and defend the agend and infirm

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Atarius hides and his first action is to get a quick overview of the situation whether there are more bandits or not. Due to his climbing skills he climbs up the small cottage from the other side to get a better fighting position, sneaks to the side where the elf is struggling with the 2 bandits. He waits for the right moment to take action because he knows that he hasn’t got any chances if he fails with his first strike to kill those bandits just by himself. So he waits, the elf nearly about to be killed pleads for his life but the bandits ignore him. The stronger one strikes out to a very powerful attack to end the life of the elf when suddenly a scimitar similar blade drills in his head and instantly knocks him off.

The second bandit shocked to death is overwhelmed by fear while looking at his dead comrade. Unfortunately he finds back to himself and tries to escape - but it is too late for that: The elf pulled out his dagger he hid behind his back and went totally enrage after the second bandit. Ignoring Atarius’ calls “Show mercy” he knifed him down.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Atarius examines the little shop and its owner after he said:“Good evening – yes, you may be of help to me. Can you tell me where I find the next tailor to repair my cloth armor? And before I forget it: Here are 10 Minas – would you be so kind and give me some food for that?”

The shop owner gives him 2 Minas back but Atarius loves to have a nice small talk so he left it at the counter.

I like the app. I really do. I like the plotline and the biography. You really went into detail and proved yourself.

However, there are a few things wrong with the app that you can change to improve and make it better.

So Turalan decided to let him be trained by someone who knew how to fight with a staff to get the basics.

Atarius grew up and with him his skills in fighting improved. In the morning he helped his father at work and after that he trained outside in the forest.

You should put more detail into the training. You went into great detail about how Turalan taught Atarius, then it skips over the part where he gets professional training.

The way you worded the second sentence, makes it seem like he "grew up" an improved his skills overnight. These two sentences really throw the timeline of the biography off.

Now in the bottom questions, I'm assuming the elf suddenly pulled out a sword and attacked the bandits. The elf was begging, backed in a corner, and was utterly helpless. Then he pulls out a sword and kills the bandits.

That is called powergaming. You simply cant be helpess and suddenly pull a sword out of nowhere.

Speaking of powergaming, your definitions of metagaming and powergaming are not correct.

Please fix these simple mistakes, and wait 2 hours to re-apply. Goodluck on your next app~!
