I have been looking with a bunch of friends for a server with good view on RP for a long time. I am impressed by the size and quality of the community that I found here. Im eager to see world of Lord of the Craft for myself.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I like swords, fantasy, history and absolutely love Role Playing. Sadly in my city I cant play RPG as much as I want so Im looking for them anywhere I can find.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

10 hours and more.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Its about playing a character whose actions and choices will be decided from his point of view, with his knowledge and feelings rather than from what you think he should do. Important part is knowing limits of character knowledge about the world he inhabits.

I try to focus my acting on the way others see me so my character can gain life. The more in character I can stay, the more I enjoy myself.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming- Using information or resources that are out of game to affect ingame decisions or actions, these leads to playing out of character. For example: if I have a problem with bandits, rather than look for their camp in game, I enter forum and keep searching there for informations(anykind) or ask out of character for help a player who know about bandits.

Powergaming- Focusing mainly on character advance with goods ignoring important parts of gameplay such as story, acting in character, socializing and so on. Also turning ones character to perfect being that easily do anything that player wants. It leads to ignoring fact that believable character will often fail when doing something. That will not only affect the quality of RP of mentioned character but also can, and most likely will, divest gaming fun of other players.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

A new world with never ending possibility to play my character. Also a chance to improve my English and meet great people that have similar taste in what RP should look like.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

Sacred Labirynth, bashcraft, legendary craft, and others that I cant even remember. To many palyers with skins that ruined mood, acting like mining/killing machine. Or to many players paying to distance themself from others. For example there was one time when I played with my friends as nomads. Large colourful tents, enermous flock of sheeps and travelling from place to place. After a few days, in one night some bunch of pink/violet weirdos build around us ridiculously high wall of cobblestone with thickness of one block and bought surounding lands with real money so that we couldnt interact with anything there and couldnt get out. We were locked and couldnt do anything beside suicide.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Karanos Thiell was the Fourth son born in family of stonemasons. His childhood contained mostly of hard work with stones and buildings. His family was wealthy for there was need of fortifications at that time in Oren kingdom. Yet, they werent rich enough for Karanos to inherit anything from his parents. Thats why when Karanos reached the adult age he left his home and set out to travel the world.

Although skilled with stonemasonry Karanos qickly realized that no one would hire craftsman without an eqipment. In a town of Salvus he found himself hungry and without any money left. At that time he thought of a plan to survive...

After looking in a right places he found a group of bandits. He convinced them that he know of a wealthy merchant that travels with great number of goods between cities. For that information he requested a few minas. Bandits agreed to a deal, but warned Karanos that he will get his money only if his informations prove to be true. Next day Karanos led the bandits few miles from a city and together they prepared to attack merchant when he will be passing by. It didnt take much time for the traveler that suited Karanos plan to appear. When a wealthy looking man passed near their position Karanos gave a signal. With a loud cry, to scare even more their target, bandits attacked merchant. Suddenly their leader fell on the ground with an arrow in his back. Before remaining four realised what happened two more joined the corpse on the ground. Remaining bandits qickly decided what to do, and ran from the road to forest. After few seconds Karanos heard screams that abrutly ended coming from direction the two run off. He congratulated himself, for three days he spent preparing traps around this place werent in vain. When no witness to his manipulation were left alive, Karanos come closer to merchant. He told him how he spotted these villains when hunting and decided to stop them before they hurt someone. Reliefed merchant thanked Karanos and offered him Minas for saving him. Karanos claimed the prize and asked if he could join merchant in his travel as a guard. Merchant agreed with haste.

When they reached merchants hometown Karanos not only had a money to continue living but also earned good reputation through his companion stories that he told at every inn during their way. With these, Karanos started anew, as a sellsword. For reasonable amount of money Karanos were hired as a mercenry or guard for the next dozen of years. During that time he gathered around him a small number of companions that he led between cities and settlements in search for a wealth and fame.

-Karanos is thirty years old. He is tall and stringy becaose of his life as a mercenary. His hair are brown and he has black eyes. He wears crest that he earned(or so he say) during one of his battles. Though not a master of a sword, Karanos is skilled in fortyfications and bow. He has cold calculating mind and always look for a profit for himself. When he speaks, compared to his rude appearence, his calm and pleasant voice surprise his interlocutors. Although Karanos lack compassion for others, he follow laws and find robbing and murdering others for money disgusting. When asked: If you despise murdering, then Why do you live as a mercenary? He answers: "It is diffrent, for I only kill when ordered, not when I feel like it. Im a soldier, but for sale. Thou can say a patriot of gold."

Karanos keep the story of how he got into mercenary business a secret. After some time from that incident he became ashamed of breaking his word. He decided to always remain honest and keep his oaths. Although being frank didnt help him in being liked, such a trait in a sellsword is prefered by his clients.

Your characters ambitions:

To earn fair ammount of gold so that he can buy everything he didnt receive from live so far. Mostly ale, not that his life lacked it but lets say that simple minds have simple needs. And there isnt something like too much ale.

Maybe with a little luck and positive thinking(ale needed), Karanos will be able to raise to high position in Kingdoms of Man. He may even create his own household and family.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Seeing this scene Karanos walked calmly in their direction and drew a sword. Bandits broke from a fight and backed off a little to see what new opponent will do.

-"God be praised."- Said elf with a relief." -Thank you for coming to my aid, knight. I dont know what I would..."- Karanos interupted by raising hand and bending fingers in commonly known gesture.

-"How much, lad?"-He said with curteus smile.

-"Pardon me?"-Elf asked surprised.

-"A fee, lad, I work only for a fee. Show me some gold and we shall see."- For a moment elf stood in place speechless.

-"How dare... ten, ten minas" -Elf redded on face from anger.

-"Now we're talking, lad."-Said Karanos and turned to bandits.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Karanos noded in short greeting to one of the customers that just went in. Tall man replied with the same gesture. After a moment of thinking Karanos spoke to shop owner:

-"Well, for start let me see what arrowheads thou have on stock, merchant. I'm in need of these."-

When shop owner returned with merchandise Karanos watched carefully each of arrowhead and grabbed ten of them.

-"These I shall take. For another matter, did my book arived?" Shop owner smiled.

-"Why, yes it did, as I remember correctly the "Art of Fortification" by the pen of master Argen. Correct me if Im wrong but didnt master Argen based it on long lost "Propugnaculum" from Great Al'khazar Library? Give me a moment, I left it in storage."-

When shop owner left, Karanos stood still for a while. After a moment he noticed that his purse was gone from his belt. The only thing left was sad lonely strap cut at the end. Karanos sighed, thief soon will find that only small stones were in his spoil, while real purse containing Minas hanged on Karanos neck hidden undearneath his cloth.

-"Excuse me for waiting, here it is."-Shop owner put before Karanos thick bound volumin. -

"In total this will be two hundreds Minas."- Old men smiled.

-"Too much, I can give thou hundred and fifty."- Said Karanos.

-"Why, dear customer, this certainly is worth more than even two hundred. Look at the cover, such fine leather, also adornment is made of pure gold."- Shopowner started to haggle.

-"Keep the cover then. Its what inside that Im interested in. Hundred and fifty. -"Karanos kept enduring at his price.

-"Then how about hundred and eighty, and I must say that its robbery."- Shopowner looked at Karanos reproachfully.

-"Thats a shame for I have only hundred and seventy Minas on myself." -Said Karanos taking out his purse. Sound of coins clanging inside leather finally defeated shopowner.

-"Fine, have it your way. Take the volumin, pay and leave my shop." -Shop owner looked discontent when Karanos left building without Minas, but with a book in his aisle.

-"Now then."- Karons murmured under his nose, wondering. -"Where can I find someone who will teach me how to read?
