Sage_Candle 0 Share Posted July 24, 2011 I would like to ask my fellow Ascended to NOT farm on the lower terrace of the Inner City (i.e. the level with the pond). This was supposed to be set aside as a garden/rest area, but someone has decided to not only plant wheat on there, but to add a bunch of sugar canes as well. This is seriously screwing up the aesthetic Sue, Fabius, and myself work hard to craft. The upper terraces more than service our needs and the sugar canes were only ever added for variety. As I understand it, there is a good sugar farm just outside Westgate, unless someone has removed it. eventually, the Sages will be adding a proper sugar and tree farm to Haven, though it is still undecided whether or not these would be within the city walls like the wheat farm. Unfortunately, the tilled earth will be hard to remove, and I will likely have to fill the streams with cobble (so we can still see where the streams were. i would use gravel, but that is what the paths are made of) to turn the soil back to grass
Eos 0 Share Posted July 24, 2011 Why are they so hard to get rid of? Just as a totally off topic question xD -Eos
Sage_Candle 0 Author Share Posted July 24, 2011 if a tilled soil block is too close to water, it tends to revert back to a tilled state soon after being stomped on.
Eos 0 Share Posted July 24, 2011 Hummmm, that's annoying... So, why not use sand? It's just as easy to remove as gravel, and it's not as hard as stone. -Eos
Sage_Candle 0 Author Share Posted July 24, 2011 ...that might work. why didn't i think of that?
Eos 0 Share Posted July 24, 2011 Because, you overlook the minor blocks, most people do when they build and solve problems.........for some reason.... -Eos Maybe it's time to set up some farms in the city, those level things look really annoying....no offense

We do need to make a tree farm. We would like an organic tree farm (essentially just a forested area that we chop down and replant) rather than a high efficiency tree farm (tend to be ugly)

Tree farm..........I think I know a good place for your to put one :) -Eos
