Ben Carter 0 Share Posted February 25, 2012 Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: My Account name is Crafter_Quantum. How old are you?: 16 Years old, 17 at the end of april. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: GMT/England. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, it is my primary language. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a 16 year old male in England. I am currently attending a 6th form. I am a big fan of video games and really enjoy fiction in either games or books. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Limited by school work so somewhere between 1-2 hours week day and 3-4 on 1 weekend day at least. Rough estimate for the whole week is 8 hours minimum. It is limited due to high volumes of school work 6th form gives. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:RP is where you act in character that is created in a fictional world where you act in response to either a setting or a scene. It can be quite fun since you become a character that cannot normally exist or you can act how you want to or even try to act differently. It is only limited by your own imagination. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: WoW and SWTOR. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: It is where you act on knowledge that your RP character doesn't know, as if the character knew what would happen (Foreknowledge). In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: This is where you try to focus on advancing a character and this can normally result in just focusing on leveling in most cases, not actually enjoying the story. What do you expect this server will be like?: I believe it to be a fun world where people act in character in a ever changing world of old. The races and relations between them sound fun, something that can only be done on a big RP server like this. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I played on a server called Anti Grief Nation for a while but left a few months ago because of people griefing, and my friends also wanted a more peaceful server to play on. Since then, I have run a server for about 5-6 of my friends for us to mess about on however I miss the feeling on big servers and it can be tiring having to put a server up at bad times. I also have tried some other random servers but they have too many griefers and have no difference between them. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have and these are the types of rules I like. It makes for a friendly environment for players to enjoy the game and server to its fullest. As for the Lore, I have read some and find it really exciting. It is a brilliant idea that has been created. I like how it is said that the world is a canvas and what happens is the colours. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I agree to abide by the rules. How did you hear about us?: I saw one of your trailers for you server and was amazed at how it looked so I looked into it more at the website. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: Yes, I was number 3685 I think. In-Character: Character Name: Ben Carter What Race are you?: Just your basic everyday human. What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):I'm just a basic human, don't have any other race's blood in my veins. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I was just like most humans. I had a basic life, better than most. I had a good education and studied at some of the greatest schools in Alras. Of course, there is always a trade for talent. I was born with a physically weak body, people thought I would never be able to fight. It was thanks to one old man though who never gave up on me that I can defend myself. He realised I could never fight with strength so he taught be that with my weak body, I should train myself to move quickly. Thanks to him, I learned to at least defend myself from the bandits' raiding parties. If only I had been stronger though. My family along was murdered one day. I don't truly know what happened. It doesn't matter what people say, I could have saved them. I had seen the warnings but I didn't want to believe them. I now try to stop this endless cycle of senseless violence. I want no one to experience that pain. I threw myself into my studies after that, looking for a solution but so far, I have found nothing. I have decided that maybe I will learn more from first hand experience so I have set out to see the worlds. I left with just my sword and some supplies. My appearance has slightly changed, the biggest change being the black overcoat I got for my travels. The black hood now covers my black hair and helps protect myself from the rain. Under the coat, I have some basic light fighting armour so I have some defense but I mostly travel light so I can leave at a moment's notice. I recently decided to believe in magic, maybe it could be the solution I am looking for. Only time will tell. I'm only 21, I've got the time. What is your Character's ambitions?: I want to end the senseless violence and death this world has. As well as that, there was once a place I read about. The name escapes me but I remember that it was the greatest place of learning that had even existed. Knowlege and wisdom are some of the greatest tools in this world so I want to re-create this once great place. Maybe then, the world can move towards peace instead of fighting on the orders of men who can't see the results of their actions. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): The sword has always been a preference of mine. I never truly could manage the others but a sword can be made to suit it's wielder and their style. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Like I said, I have a high intelligence. That can help even in battle. To think clearly and to avoid costly mistakes. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): I'm sorry if this format is wrong, I wasn't sure on the format and how to create a image with just the skin so I tried this because it does show a 3D image of the skin. Other Information about your Character: That's about it. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I'm not the kind of man who can leave anyone who needs help. I would try to persuade the warriors to leave and if they refused, I would unfortunally have to make them. I may not like it but I can't sit still while someone needs help. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "This looks promising, I'm looking for a certain book. What do you have?" I would look through the books before having to accept there is nothing but overcharged basic knowledge books. "Sorry, these aren't what I after." I would then leave, glad there was nothing I wanted looking at the prices. "I've seen cheaper swords those" I would say to myself. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I would look around more to see if the place wass truly abandoned. By checking the dust around the place, I would see how long the owners had been gone, along with seeing if there is any damage, which would tell me if they were attacked. I it truly looked like it was abandoned, I would take the materials as to not waste them.I wouldn't stay to long if the place looked damaged however since the thing that caused it may return. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "Ah, people, finally. Please, can I bother you for something to eat and drink. I've been travelling for a while." After having a bite to eat, I would give them some money as compensation and ask for directions to my next location. "Thanks for your help." You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: "Please sir, let me talk to them first, I will try to persuade them to stop." If he says that I can't not do that or I fail to pursuade them to leave, I will join the fight in the hope on minimising casualties and to stop others falling prey to theses bandits.
