Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Indeed. Born and living in England my whole life. English is my first and only language. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Hello; my name is Lee. I'm currently at University studying to be a professional chef. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I would be on everyday for 6 hours+. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: To me, Role-playing is when you choose an character and live it in a virtual life. I choose to make the character like me such as the personality and treat situations to way I would in real life. That allows me to have a more natural flow to my Role-play. In Role-play you have take into count of many factors that make up your Role-play such as the time set of the Role-play. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have being involved with Role-play for many years in forms of playing jokes on friends to playing games such as Elder scrolls, Dragon age even back to Baulders gate. Not only that but I have been Role-playing on LoTc since September. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: There are countless way to describe what Meta-gaming is so here is my description; Meta-gaming is using information that you know but your character wouldn't and using it to your advantage. An example of this on LoTc is when we was told we was moving from Ageis to Asulon on the forums, then using that information in in-game Role-play or selling your items before we moved. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: There are countless way to describe what Power-gaming is so here is my description; Power-gaming can be when you force an action onto somebody which can be deemed as unfair. This is something in Role-play that can really make or break it. In LoTc an example of this could be; *Approaches man and throwing sword through the gold helmet killing him instantly* This leaves the player with no choice in the matter which would be unfair and not fun for the player. What do you expect this server will be like?: As I have been playing on the server since September I already know what the server is like but taking on this new character I can hopefully discover some brand new Role-play. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on many other servers; Most creative ones. I have also played on this one and is now the only server I play on. Which vote number were you?: I have voted for LoTc today and will continue to vote for LoTc. In-Character: Character Name: Sile What Race are you?: Dwarf Biography: Sili living in an small mountain region in Ageis away from most civilisation. He living in an small community no more than 10 dwarfs living up in the mountain. He had not brothers or sisters but had a very proud mother & Farther. His mother generally cooked and farmed small crops with other females at the mountain however his farther was an miner that was very respected by his fellow community. Sili was always interested in objects, when we was to young to mine he used to pick up stones & twigs and try to fit them together and rotate them different, matching different materials together to give unique effects. As he got older he became obsessed with building and placing different materials together making pattens. Sili built an statue on top of the peak of the mountain over looking the small settlement which when the sun was shining bright would reflect the light and twinkle. One day an passing messenger crossing though the lands on a horse passed and noticed the statue and rode up. Upon arrival he was astonished by all the unique materials that were but together to make mind blowing effect and went searching for the creator. Once he found Sili he told him of an important mission that needed to be done at the Dwarfen nation Kal'Urguan. Sili took time to think things over and decided it was best to take the opportunity to go there. He said goodbye to his Mother and farther and rode off into the distance. When he arrived at Kal'Urguan within a few hours he was brief and told what needed doing. There was new mining guild and they needed a head designer to plan the mine out. Sili couldn't believe what he was now involved in within one day he had gone from nobody who lived in the settlement in a mountain to one of the most important Dwarfs. *15 years have passed the mine was finished and fully designed and he was engraved on a giant pickaxe built outside of it in order for all dwarfs to forever remember the Dwarf who made it all possible. As time in Aegis was coming to and end he sailed with the rest of the people to a new land called Asulon where he plans to continue his dreams of becoming an well known builder. What is your Character's ambitions?: To be known throughout the land for being an exceptional builder and do his brothers proud. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Sili rarely uses tools as he is a master builder although as a Dwarf he has natural talent with a pickaxe. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Sili has a mind like no other. He can imagine projects in his head, rotate a 3D model in his head and add bits to or take bits off the building in his head. This gives Sili an unique talent in building and planning but also if need be can be used in strategic battles. A screenshot of your skin: Other Information about your Character: Nothing really. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Sile hides behind the the dark barked tree slightly peaking around the tree hoping to catch an glimpse of there face to report them. He quietly takes the paper out of his backpack which has a feather and ink sack tied it to. He used the feather and paper to write down any key words such as names, places or even unique words they may use so that he could further identify them. After the Halfling has handed over the Minas he would approach the Halfling and tell him what you have wrote and ask for his name and home location to return the Minas. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Sile: Geetings merchant do you have any discounts today? Merchant: Aye fine fellow. I have some gold ingots only 12 minas each. *Sile smiles and secratley counts the minas in his pouch with his fingers trying to avoid the clinging of coins bashing together* Sile: Aye I will take 6 gold ingots of your hands. Merchant: That would be marvellous *Sile places the large pouch of minas on the counter. The Merchant lifts and pile of ingots wrapped in a thing white cloth and unwraps to show the amount of ingots. Sile nods of to approve and places the ingots in his backpack* Merchant: Hope to see you soon . Sile: Farewell. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Sile sees that the house seems to be abandoned but can't know that for sure. Sile takes the ingots out the chest and places them into his backpack. Picking up the sword he slides it into the sheath and continues to look for items. After collecting any other valuables he finds the then pins a paper to the wall (sign) which leaves directions to where to find me for the items as only the owner would know that items were in the chest. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Sile: Greetings friend I seen to have got lost in these dense woods and have been travelling longer than I have brought supplies for do you happen to have any food I can have; I love fresh warm mushroom soup. Camper: Aye sir, come in we have plenty of soup to go around. The cook is about to get some on the boil so you have come in time *Sile and the campers sit down and eat there meals in which a lot of talking and jokes take place* Camper: It is getting late and the sun is setting, please take that bed over so you can be fully rested for your return. Sile: You have been most generous I will not regret this. *Sile stays the night, come morning they hand Sile and map and compass and he sets his way back to Karik. He thanked them and gave them an few balls of wool he had collected on his journey to thank you for their hospitality. At times like this he remembers that there are still some good people in this land. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Sile would not help them in arms against them as that is not something Sile has ever participated in and will avoid at all cost. He would offer to lend any items that could come in aid to them to give them an further advantage. From being a good builder he also can look for strategic advantage points from hills, around building or roof's for archers.
