My name is Marc, and I am a 19-year old college student studying Business. I have played video games since I was young, and have focused on RPG's in the last 5 years. I've been playing Minecraft since it went public, and have joined many Role Playing servers since then.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Usually, I would be able to play approximately 2-3 hours every night, totaling up to approximately 20 hours per week.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

To me, Roleplaying is completely immersing myself in a world, where I speak its language, behave in ways acceptable to its society, and interacting with other people in a way consistent with it's habits and traditions.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I’ve played on several RP servers, including Townar, The Kingdoms, and SkiCraft.

In the Kingdoms, I became a Dispute Admin before the server went under.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Metagaming is when I use knowledge and information out of character, to do things in game.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Powergaming is when I use RP to force other player to achieve goals and tasks.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I have a pretty good idea of what it will be like from many friends who have joined already. But I expect this server to be a realistic, seriously RP environment where I can fully immerse myself in the experience.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I’ve played on several RP servers, including Townar, The Kingdoms, and SkiCraft.

I never left Townar and The Kingdoms, the server shut down. I still play SkiCraft from time to time.

My best friend Logan joined TOTC recently and has been raving about it. Also, many of my friends from The Kingdoms have left as well and have recommended this to me, since I’m a big RP fan.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Terentius is handsome, young man with a silver tongue and a quick hand. He was raised by a good mother and father who cared for him. Unfortunately, his parents died of sickness when he was at the tender age of12, leaving him to his uncle to raise. At the age of 18, Terentius grew to resent his sheltered life with his uncle and wanted to experience the world and its entire people. He set out with nothing but the clothes on his back and an idea in his mind, the simple idea to learn from the many cultures around him and to experience all this world had to offer. So with this idea he set out to make his own way in the world and create his own stories that he may share with future generations.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

Terentius has come to hate his life in his uncle’s house, running errands, and staying within the boundaries set for him. He wants to travel throughout the land, and visit different cities, meet new people, forge alliances, and make memories. He strongly stands by his father’s last words: “What man is a man, if he did not change the world?”

Pickaxe

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

While on his way to the City of Solace, Terentius comes across a Halfling being harassed by two warriors. He quickly ducks behind a grouping of boulders off to the side of the road to gather his wits. As Terentius is not a man for fighting , he decides to take the path of words. Stepping from behind the boulders he lets out a loud whistle drawing the attention of the warriors. As they close in on him he raises his hand to get them to stop. Looking them over quizzically he tilts his head to the side and says “It seems a waste to kill a potential source of income. Instead of killing this poor Halfling, why not simply come back every so often to collect a small sum of Minas or goods, protection money if you will. And in return you simply keep him safe from other warriors and bandits in these lands.” The men stop as if mulling it over and shrug and simply walk away with their plunder. Terentius walks over to the Halfling and after being thanked for saving him, Terentius suggests that he move quicker towards his destinations to avoid more bandits.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well-dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Terentius walks up to the shop keep and states rather plainly “I’m looking for some supplies, I have quite the journey ahead of me.” The shop keep grins and says “Another young ruffian going off to find his own namesake eh? Seen a lot of your type around here lately, let me give you some advice!” Expecting this man to help him, Terentius quickly smiles at him. The shop keep then says “why don’t you go back home and raise those cows and pigs of yours? There’s no room for your kind in this world.” The smile quickly faded from Terentius’ face as he said coldly “I feel quite at home, since you remind me very much of my pigs, sir. Good day.”

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Terentius, being an opportunist, looks around for the owner of this chest. Seeing no one in vicinity, he reaches into it and takes enough iron bars to make a pickaxe. He leaves the rest of the iron along with the sword in the chest because he does not need them, and knows not to be greedy. He may be poor in pocket, but he is far too proud and honorable for petty thievery.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Terentius, though hungry and tired, greets the tradesmen politely, and takes a few moments to exchange pleasantries. After a quick meal with some merchants, Terentius and the caravan master retire to his tent, where they look over maps and charts of the area.Then, plotting his course on a map, Terentius heads out of the camp with a full sack of goods.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Terentius, knowing himself to be a builder and not a fighter, wants to help protect the town who has been offering him shelter. He steps up to the leader of the town guard, and courageously says “I will use the talents of mine hands to protect this town. Her walls shall stand strong, and her towers tall and fearsome. I may not wield a sword, but my hammer will build a wall that will scare those rotten motherless bandits back to hell.”
