17, 18 this August

Eastern, USA

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Yes

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I'm finishing my last few months of high school before I move on to studying mathematics in college. I enjoy browsing the internet and playing video games during my spare time. I also watch some anime every now and then.

How much time could yoube on the server weekly?:

14 at least. Two hours a day.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Roleplaying is the act of living in a fictional world through the actions of a fictional, defined character. Encountering challenges and seeing the world through the character's point of view. In a way, Roleplaying is a lot like acting and cannot be picked up immediately by just anyone.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I haven't played any Roleplaying games, but tend to come up with different characters in my mind and apply them to most games that I play. Nevertheless, I fully understand how Roleplaying works.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta-Gaming is the use of information and characteristics of the player himself, rather than the character that represents him/her. An example of this could be when a player calls another character out by their screen name without them having introduced themselves in the game.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Power-Gaming is acting through means that are unrealistic in role play. An example of this could be claiming to have untied your hands after an authority had restricted them. In my opinion, this is the most common flaw found in role play games, however this server appears to be very strict about its players.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I believe this server is very well maintained and i think it does a lot to keep the players from being bothered by unfamiliar players. I expect it to have a smart and mature community.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I usually only play in survival servers with people that I somewhat know. The only server I have played in before was Mystical-Craft. I left it because I didn't feel challenged.

Yes and I believe them to be fair.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

I was born in a small village in the outskirts of Alras. It was a poor town as I remember it. Mostly filled with the criminals and the scum of Asulon. I never met my parents. They were probably no better than the rest of those back-stabbing bastards. A miner named Olaf looked over me. He never told me who my parents were, or what they were like. Not that I wanted to know anyway. They were all filled with darkness back in the corner of Alras and no one was trustworthy. Only the children were the ones with a speck of purity in their souls. We the children looked after each other like we were family. They were the first ones to even give me a name. Fish. Mostly because I’m good with a rod. They were the only ones to show me any care, unlike the corrupted adults. Even Olaf was a criminal. I would occasionally catch him selling swords and pickaxes that I know he didn’t make himself. I didn’t need him though. I had Dante to help me survive back then. He was the oldest of the wandering children. He would always provide materials and risk his own life to get food for those other good for nothing kids. At least I was able to help him, until the day he was murdered.

Dante and I found a small home in the middle of nowhere. It seemed to be a peaceful, target for us to take some supplies. We didn’t know the family of the home were as skilled as they were. I knew my way with a sword, and knew I could handle a fight, but Dante wasn't much of a fighter. As we had approached the seemingly empty home, I caught three figures peaking at us through the dim window. "No back away Dante!" I shouted at him as three marauders burst through the front door and charged at Dante while he was still baffled by the whole situation. I watched as he lost his life to a man and his two sons, and couldn't build up the courage to do anything about it. I hid behind a small ditch and endured my partner's cries for mercy. Even back then my soul was corrupted with the bitter darkness of this world. I allowed a comrade to be beaten to death by three men and lacked the guilt that someone like Dante might have felt. Nevertheless, his death made me the oldest of the children, leaving me the responsibility of protecting the kids. Yet I just couldn’t find it in my heart to help them. I wasn’t like Dante. I don’t want anyone to rely on me. Not if I would receive nothing in return. So I left them and roamed the wilds of Asulon as yet another scumbag rogue fighting for no one but myself.

Now, 9 years after I made my decision to leave, I find myself to be one of the lost, disrespected loners that I once despised. However I now understand what they felt. I too feel their sense of hopelessness in this dark, cruel world. I know why they repulsed families and betrayed clans. That is why I’m alone. Perhaps a blade for hire if not anything else. I may help some people, but never out of generosity or pity. Only for my own personal gain. I'm not a bad person, and don't think of myself as evil in any way. I just do what I gotta do to get by. I wouldn't murder someone innocent. If living means I have to steal or murder those that have done nothing wrong, I think I would rather not live at all. Being a 19 year old human, I know there isn’t much life left for me. Therefore I roam for myself and myself only. I’ll live like this until the end. No unfinished projects or unmet desires.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

His ambitions are mainly to stay alive and unbothered. He’ll just passively get along with his own life, having minimum interference with the lives of those who stay out of his own.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

His favorite tool, (and basically only one) is his sword. With it, he achieves anything he needs to survive his basic lifestyle, and protects himself from those with the desire to hurt him.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?:

He is a very skilled with his sword and tends to be pretty intimidating at times. Yet his intimidating nature is always backed up by a fight, and never a bluff.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

At first, my character would attempt to intimidate the two warriors. He’d look them straight in the eyes and warn them to back off while reaching for his sword. If this failed, and the warriors were unconvinced, he would pull out his blade and attempt to kill the warriors. Whether he is able to scare them off, or is forced to kill them both, he won’t stop attacking until they are no longer a threat. If he manages to defeat the two warriors, he would take any belongings they were carrying with them. Killing them won't matter to him. He knows they would've taken innocent lives if they weren't taken care of. Whether he kills them or they run away, he will walk up to the helpless halfling and take his money as a payment for his services without uttering a single word to him. After all, he did just save his life.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in aposh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Me - "Yeeo, I'm starvin'. What do you got that can end this hunger?"

Merchant - "Why nothing but the best, sir! Take a look over 'ere at all the different types grub we have to offer!"

I turn and meet eyes with a wonderful batch of delicious looking food.

Me - "Meh, doesn't look too well cooked. Better take some free samples to make sure they're good, right?"

I then reach for my blade and slice a few bits of meat to swallow down.

Me - "Not bad, but I've had better. You got any blades? My sword's all worn out and 'Ima need somethin' 'ta kill with."

Merchant – “Y-Y-Yes sir!! The greatest swords money can buy! A vast variety to suit any of your needs!”

Me – “Here's everything I got. Gimme your best one."

I hand him a couple of pumpkin seeds, a golden ingot and a worn out iron sword.

Merchant - "S-Sure! Here ya go sir! T-Thank you!"

I then take my new blade and continue with my wandering.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

My character would immediately be suspicious of the unrealistically fortunate event, and begin to inspect the area, making sure that it is not a set up. Once he finds that the coast is clear, he walks back toward the hut and immediately remembers the night when his partner Dante had been murdered. It was that day that he decided to venture alone, and could not dare to risk another life changing experience as that one. He decides to flee the area, as well as everything contained in the chest, re-collective of his memories from the last time that he dared to approach a seemingly abandoned home. For all he knows, a dangerous target may be returning to that hut at any moment.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Me - "Hey there. Got some food? I'm starvin' over here!"

Merchants - "Yes, however it is for sale. Forgive us, but we cannot afford to give away anything without a proper exchange."

Me - "Fine, you greedy bastards, gimme however much I can get for this iron hoe I found."

I toss them the iron hoe and rest my hand on my sword, in case they decide to try and cheat me.

Merchants - "Well, this thing isn't worth much... but I guess in your case we can make an exception."

They hand me two cooked chickens and a cooked beef.

Me - "What the hell do I look like, you freakin' bastards?! That hoe is made of iron! You can do better than this!"

My grip on my sword gets tighter.

Merchants - "Alright, well then take this pork chop and get the hell out you cheap loner!"

I ****** the pork chop and eat the food as I walk away from their trading camp.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

My character would meet with the leader and accept his offer. However before he goes off to complete his quest, he gathers as much information on the bandits as he can. Once he knows exactly what he’s dealing with, he will decide how many swordsmen he will have to hire, if any. After he is ready to begin, he goes in the direction where the bandits are supposedly at. After he spots his enemy, he and his hired assistants all attack at once and proceeds to capture the bandits. He then turns to the bandits and whispers, "If you guys can pay more than the leader of the guards, I'll let you scumbags free this one time. How 'bout it?" If they are able to pay him more than the guards, he will set them free. If not, he will slay them and retrieve his reward. Afterwards he would pay off his assistants and move on with his lone traveling, using his extra cash to buy him a nice meal, and sharpen his sword.

I was born in a small village in the outskirts of Alras. It was a poor town as I remember it. Mostly filled with the criminals and the scum of Asulon

Your lore is very mixed up. Asulon and Aegis are two different worlds. Please remember that Asulon is well in it's 20's. With your characters age, you were either born in Aegis or Asulon,

Also, please change your character name. I talked to a GM and he said that it needed to be changed.

Overall the application is well written~

((Ps. Loled at the Mc name.))

Please wait 24 hours to re-apply. If you have any questions about this application, please feel free to PM me. Goodluck on your next application and remember to write down that your next application is your 3rd~
