(note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): None. Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): My name is Elric Girtin. I have light brown hair, and blue eyes, both from my mother. I was born in a village in Salvus, Asulon, as where both my parents and my big brother, Edward. We enjoyed our time together playing, and farming. The people in my village liked to build and expand. Everyone in the village new each other and all the kids played together. Even though I like to play with the kids, I would rather spend time with my parents. Both my mom and dad where into woodcutting and crafting. They built our home on their own two years before I was born. They had come here from their old home in Aegis which they were forced to abandon. I had not seen my older brother, Edward in 3 years. He left the village to go explore, and see the wonder of our world when I was 6. He said when he comes back he would take me with him to finish exploring, but he still hasn't returned. Working with my parents, I started woodcutting and crafting. We had a small store outside near our house, and I usually saw the same faces every time since our village was so small. And with the wooden sword that I crafted myself, my dad let me stay guard, and I would always be rewarded with my mom coming outside with a big glass of juice. All of a sudden on a cold winter morning, my life changed in a matter of minutes. I was in our small store, wielding my wooden sword, trying to intimidate anyone who caught my eye the wrong way when these three strange men walked in and demanded my dad pay the money he owed them. “Pay up!” My dad told him he never borrowed money. “Yeah, I know you didn’t…but your son did.” Said one of the tall men. “We went to get it from him and he ran away. We looked around his place, and found out he has family here. Better pay up for him.” A second one added. My dad opened the cash drawer and asked him how much it was. He snatched the drawer out of my father’s hands and said that it wouldn't cover even half of it. All of our money… just gone like that. He pulled out his weapon and pointed it to my dad’s neck; “Two days from now you better have the money ready.” the third one finally spoke. I stood and reached for my sword, but my dad quickly put me down. The men glared at me and left. My father told my mother, and she started crying. Such a happy woman crying... it really hurt me. It had been three days, and they had not come back yet. We figured my brother paid them off. I was working outside putting the lumber in a pile. When I place the last set down, I heard a man scream. Not just any man’s scream, but the scream of a dying man… my dying man. I saw smoke, and ran to our store. I lay my eyes on my father's lifeless corpse on the floor in a pool of blood. I ran outside for help, and I saw three men ride past me quick. I saw where the smoke was coming from now. The house my parents built with their own hands… was burning to the ground. I went through a hole where a wall used to be… and saw my mom gathering everything she could. She looked at me, and went from a face in pain to a face in horror. I got hit hard, and blacked out. A few seconds later when I got my vision back, I found my mom under a large pile of burning wood. She looked at me and said something, but my hearing was offset. I didn’t hear anything and was only able to mouth off “run…” She was gone. I ran outside where villagers have gathered, and tried to stop the fire. A villager grabbed me, as a fell back and fainted. I woke up at an infirmary. I saw my wooden sword, and a small family portrayed, with my brother burned off. After two days there, I left. From then on, I had roamed around village by village, camp by camp, looking for a temporary place to stay while I build up the money, as well as the courage to find a certain person. The person who caused all of this, my brother. Eventually, I found a place that I could stay for a while to make some money for my soon to come journey. It was at a shop similar to my old one. I stayed there at the shop for 7 years. I cut wood and crafted items for people, over charging them since this city had more money than my old village. The owner let me sleep inside the store in the backroom. After I had gained enough money, and bought myself a new hatchet and a new sword. I said thanks to the owner and left. I am now 20 years old and have been wandering in search of my brother for 4 years without a definite home. I just want to settle somewhere after this journey of mine is complete. In fact, part of me doesn't even want to go on this journey, but my memories haunt me every night and I feel like the only way to get my past out of my head is to confront who is responsible.I hate my brother for leaving us and causing the death of my parents, but part of me wants to believe that he is not who I think he is. I am not afraid of the people who stand in my way of finding my brother, but I do get chills down my spine when I imagine myself finally seeing his almost forgotten face. Nevertheless, I now roam around Asulon, occasionally stopping at villages and making new friends and enemies as I continue on my adventure, eagerly awaiting the day that I can get over my past, and settle down somewhere permanent to live a normal life. What is your Character's ambitions?: His true goal is to settle down in a nice town and live in his own home. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Other Information about your Character: N/A Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I decided it is not my problem, and tried to walk past them. They confront me wanting trouble. I told them I didn't want a conflict. They step closer, and I place my hand on my sword and yell at them, "Back off! I don't want any trouble." I say as my heart starts pounding. They step closer, so I pull out my sword a few inches out of its scabbard. They still keep coming closer, so I pull it all out, to show them I mean business. One warrior decides they don't need to make a fuss now, "We have enough from the haffling, it doesn't look like this guy isn't carrying anything anyways." I glare at them and watch their movements closely, trying to avoid showing any fear. They turn back to the hafflling, and I swiftly walk away. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? I look around the stall quickly, and see that he can fix broken tools. Me - "How much to fix a handle?" The merchant quickly responds - "About 100 minas, sir." I start to walk away. Merchant - "90 minas! No, 85!" Me - "No thanks. I think I'd rather fix it myself with those prices." I slowly approach the door expecting the merchant to lower the price one more time for me, but end up having to leave with a broken handle. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I look around, and see that no one has been here in a while. The hut is dusty and it seemed still. I enter the small hut and see the chest filled with quite a fortunate amount of loot, but feeling sorry for whoever owns the hut, I decide not to take. As I turn around to leave I notice a portrait of a happy family and quickly grab the items in the chest. I try to tell myself that I took the items because I need them to survive, but deep inside, I know it was jealousy. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? After what felt like days of walking, I see a small trading camp. I quickly run to them to ask for food. "Hello" a woman said. "Please ma'am do you have any food?" I beg. Yes, but its not for for free. I go into my pocket, and pull out nothing. She says she has a business to run and walks away. She then puts out samples and winks. I see the free samples, and grab as many as I can. "Ok then. Cya" *smiling* I guess she didn't want other people to start asking for free food. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: After wasting all my money, on food, and places to stay overnight, I have no choice but to join them. The toughest men in the town all volunteer. Probably not for the money, but just for a chance to kill. We get to the road and there they are. There are at least a dozen of them. Suddenly, out of as if nowhere, we are spotted by the bandits and attacked all at once. I get struck at by a boy my age, maybe a year older. He swings at me and I block with my sword. Shattering it into pieces. *There goes my months savings... I knew I shouldn't have bought it from those street merchants.* He is swinging at me and I'm on the floor. He swings his final blow, and I see my life flash before my eyes. I look up and see that I'm not dead. A man from the town is holding him. "Kill him!" The soldiers yell. "Haha kill him!" *I am sickened and disgusted by my comrades, yet they did just save my life* I grasp the young man's sword and stick it through him, killing him. I was no match for him. Thankfully that man saved me. Now the bandits are all either dead or ran away. I walk back to the town, retrieve my reward, and immediately leave them.
