Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:I do say I do, if I don't say I do not say I do! ( Yes. )

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I've fallen in love with LotC on my original character, but things are growing dull and I hope to revive my old experiences with a new character (But I don't want to kill of Ursolon Amedaius just yet...). I live in Portland, Oregon and I am currently a sophmore in high school. Also, just because I added it on my first characters app, I am 6'5".

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: Lately, I've been slacking... I haven't been playing more than 20 or so minutes each day, but I know I'll be on for several hours each night when I create this new character.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I have always related the act of roleplaying to actual acting. Roleplaying gives you the ability to create and bend an imaginary world. The possibilities are endless when it comes to roleplaying. My favorite aspect of roleplaying is the fact that it can essentially never end. You can always change and mold things to your liking.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: Ever since I can remember, I have played the classic pen and paper RPG, Dungeons and Dragons with my brothers. I have had several months of RP experience on the server too.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming: Using "OOC" information influence your actions in "In-character" situations. (Ex.) You are the King of a nation. You read on the forums that someone has planned your assassination this coming Saturday. Normally, you would just stroll the streets of your city alone and without a set of armor. However, on this particular Saturday, you decide you will wear a full set of diamond armor, keep an armed guard of 4 men within 10 blocks of you at all times, all the while remaining in your keep with the doors locked and prohibiting any visitations. Also, simply using information like character names from the chat box can be considered --- Are considered metagaming.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: I don't really know how to define it, so I'd rather just give a situation.

You meet a man near the road and ask him if he would like to see your wares, for you are a travelling merchant. He replies, "Do you have any diamonds or gold?" You smile and say "Why yes I do, just received a shipment today!"

______* stabs the merchant in the face with his sword instantly killing him, hitting him just right so that the blade glides through the eye slot in his iron armor *

Now, unfortunately, this man is actually following the rules, assuming he has a VA of course. This ruins the RP for everyone around you... The merchant can't do anything about it for he's already dead. If he were to say like "Moves away and avoids the blade..." than he would be voiding the RP already started by the man and it just gets messy from there...

I hope you don't mind that I skipped over some of the stuff.... I didn't feel that I needed to answer them again.

Character Name: My ma and pa called me Jeremiah, but my friends called me Finch! ( I'll be going by Finch in game. )

What Race are you?: I'm a human! Can't ya tell?

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

My ma and pa are farmers in Alras. I dun' see em' much these days though. I was born quite a few summers back, they say I popped at the same time as the lilacs do, but I dun' know if that bein' true or not. Anywho, when I was but a wee boy, I helped my pa out on the farm, or rather I sat on the ox while he plowed the fields. I was fascinated by the plants. I never quite understood how from a little seedlin' that tasted like dirt, you could make a loaf of warm, delicious bread. Speaking of yummy bread... I also used to help my ma in the kitchen. She made some of the best food in the whole town.

I've heard all these stories about everyones families dying... I suppose I am lucky to still have mine! When I was 10 or so, my pa realised that I was slacking and he made me start pushin' the plow.

Also, my ma made me grind the mill. I gained some big arms from all this hard labor. I spent the majority of my life with my parents in Alras. I wouldn't really say that I'm a master of the art, but I've spent a good time learning how to till the land and how to bake a loaf of bread.

One day... About a year ago, I just decided that I wanted to go out and see the world of Asulon. I'd been to the sanctuary once before. I decided that would be the best place to start my journey. I didn't get very far before I ran into some new found friends, though. Now that I'm in Ascella, I've caught you up with my whole life story.

What is your Character's ambitions?: As I already told you, I set out from my safe home in Alras to go see the world. I just wish to travel and make a life for myself. It's about time that I get out anyway.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): After all these years of hard work, I've grown to see my hoe as my greatest tool.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? I've been told that I make a very yummy apple pie.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I run as fast as I can to the nearest town or outpost and inform the stationed garrison of the robbery. I hope that they get to the other halfling soon.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

I recognize the man. He is one of the merchants who used to sell my pa's wheat and my ma's ale at the market. I inform him that I'm looking for my parents and he points me down to road, saying they just dropped off a new bundle of goods.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I leave a note on the door reminding the owner of the chest to lock their things before going out because if I were a thief, his items would be gone by now. And so would I.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

"Hello! I do you have any extra food? I've been lost out here for days! I'm all out of food but I just recently refilled my water skin in the nearby river." They welcome me to the fire and offer me a bit of bread and spider jerky. After I get a bit of rest, they offer to take me back to Salvus with them the next day.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: "I won't be of much help... I'm not trained in any combat skills, I've done a little wrestling when I was younger, maybe I can be a distraction?"
