oozyman1 1 Share Posted March 26, 2012 Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: My Minecraft Account name is oozyman1 How old are you?: I am thirteen years old. Time-Zone/Country of Residence: I live in The Bahamas, Eastern Time Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, I believe I do have a rather good grip on the English language as I have been speaking it for my whole life (I am english). Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I have travelled around the world on tour with my dad and am very mature for my age. I love Minecraft and i love to play roleplaying games! I also love to watch my dads concerts. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I will be able to play at least every other day. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying is "pretending" to be a character, that you have invented. It can be as simple as a farmer, that you came up with the backstory too, or a blacksmith. Sometimes your character can "rise through the ranks" and become a lord or some form of nobility. I prefer playing as the more lower ranking things though, like a farmer, or even a robber. You must be your character at all times, and not allow things that you have learnt Out-Of-Character to effect you In-Character. Roleplaying to me, is a way to get away from real-life, and sometimes have a better life as another person. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've roleplayed on forum roleplay as well as Minecraft Roleplay for quite a while. I've always enjoyed it, and it's a great experience. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is when you take information you have learn in an out-of-character way, e.g. TeamSpeak, the Forums, or Real-Life, and using it in-character. A prime example of this is, if I was in a TeamSpeak channel and heard someone say the co-ordinates to their house, and I went and used them co-ordinates to find them - I'd be metagaming. It can also be when you see a "nametag" above someones head, and call them by that name - as well as calling someone by their roleplay name, if you've never spoken to them in-character. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Powergaming is when you actually enforce something upon another player, and not giving them a chance to either counter it or take note of your action. Powergaming doesn't make the game fun for anyone except the person who is commiting the act. An example of powergaming is if I was arresting someone in-game, and I emoted "Serian tackles the criminal to the floor, smashing his head on the gravel, and cuffing his hands". That would be powergaming, as I did not give the other player the chance to react and counter it. What do you expect this server will be like?: I belive the server will be a good roleplaying experience, with a load of people who actually know how to roleplay, and don't powergame or metagame. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've not played on many other Minecraft servers - although I do host my own Survival-Multiplayer one. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I've read through them, and I believe they are fair, and should help to make the experience even better. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Indeed, I do. How did you hear about us?: I was trying to find some decent Minecraft Servers that were roleplay servers - this was the top result. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I did vote, and I am number: 3817 I believe. In-Character: Character Name: Yelnats What Race are you?: I'm an Elf What Sub-Race are you? He'd snort at the man. "Let's see ye'r prices then." He'd continue. Noticing that the man's selling diamonds for five hundred minas each, he'd point at the diamond and point it out to him. "Ye see this wee gemstone? Eh? It's no worth that five 'undred mina your sellin' it fae. Bloody rip-aff, aye?"
