Sweord 2 Share Posted March 29, 2012 MC Username: Sweord Rp Username (be sure to include the correct prefix, look up on info thread): So'Rakha Character Skillset: Archery: 50 Hand-to-hand: 50 Appearance (age, SUBRACE, gender): So'Rakha is an 18-year-old male Kha'Leparda, of a medium build and height. While not as physically powerful as a Kha'Tigrasi, every pound on So'Rakha's body is wiry muscle, honed through the practice of archery and hand-to-hand combat. Personality: So'Rakha is extremely calculating and calm, and before any reaction to a situation he will weigh the pros and cons before acting. Outwardly, except to the observant, it would appear he has no emotions at all, capable of keeping perfectly calm in almost any situation. Those that know him best will be able to tell if he is agitated by small key behaviors; the flicking of his tail or ears, a certain stance, or suddenly becoming completely still in an instance of extreme agitation. Once past his cold outer shell, however, a Kharajyr would find that he has garnered a loyal friend, one that would put his life on the line in order to keep them safe. This aspect of his personality can also be his downfall, as once he considers a person to be a friend he will go to ridiculous lengths in order to help them. As always, however, he does this in as calm a fashion as possible, yet this firm loyalty could be used to his detriment. He has an especially strong reaction should someone, particularly a non-Kharajyr, pull or otherwise touch his tail. This can cause him to temporarily lose his calm in an attempt to remove whatever is holding his tail. So'Rakha also has a deep hatred of sugar, as it was the cause of the downward spiral of his patta's life. He never eats the stuff, save for fruits that he eats as-is, without any sugar additives. He also tries to warn whatever friends he has of the dangers sugar can pose to the weak willed, and detests the people enslaved by the substance. Please include a short bio of your character's life: So'Rakha's muuna was a great fighter and hunter and began to teach So'Rakha the practice of archery and hand to hand combat at a young age. His patta, on the other hand, was a rather successful merchant, selling the food his muuna brought back from her hunts and other items he bought and would then proceed to sell for a profit. Thus, So'Rakha had a rather pleasant and happy young life, as one would expect for a young kitten. He and his patta loved his muuna very much, and the family would have done anything for each other. When the migration from their ancestral home began, So'Rakha's muuna was hunting, as was her custom. When the volcano showered the land with its sun water, his family could not find her, and they had to leave for the new lands without her. This loss hit So'Rakha and his patta incredibly hard, and they arrived in Asulon as shells of their former selves, wracked with grief. So'Rakha, as is so typical of the young, soon overcame his grief, as in his young mind he felt that he would honor his mother by being strong, something his patta would never be able to do. His patta, rather than trying to reestablish themselves, soon lost himself in the grip of sugar. It was the only thing that let him forget his wife, for a time, and as he became more resistant to its affects he became more addicted to it. During the pitiful remainder of So'Rakha's childhood, he was often plagued by the affects the sugar had on his patta, as his patta overdosed several times as So'Rakha neared adulthood. He managed to stay as strong as he did in those final years by devoting himself completely to what his mother taught him, practicing daily with bow and arrow and hand-to-hand as a way of keeping the raising anger he felt towards his father at bay. After he officially became an adult Kharajyr, So'Rakha was taking care of his patta more than his patta had taken care of him in those last few years. The threat of a sugar overdose was always around the corner, and sometimes he was there to help, and sometimes not. During the last two most violent overdoses So'Rakha had to stop his patta from choking on his own spit, and after the second time, So'Rakha was so disgusted with the creature his patta had become that he left, for good. Character's ambitions: So'Rakha's ultimate goal is to become one of the Do'Kuta', so that he may make his mother proud, wherever she is, and get as far away from the memories of his father as he can. _---Situational Rp Questions---_ 1. As you travel through the Karakatuan jungle, you spot a human trespassing on your nation's lands. He approaches you, obviously distressed, and asks for any food, water, or shelter that you can provide, then tells you that he has been lost in the area for days without any proper supplies. How do you react?: So'Rakha stares at the near-hairless being curiously. He had heard of these hairless things but had never seen one with his own eyes. Surprisingly, it speaks a similar language to his, and begs him for nourishment. He thinks for a moment, deciding what would be the best thing to do in order to remove it from the land. He opens a satchel at his side and pulls out some old, stale bread, the food he would survive on during long treks in the jungle, and uncorks his water skin, handing both to the creature. "Drink this. Take the food, and leave," he says as he gives the hairless thing the items. The hairless one eagerly gulps down mouthfuls of water, tiny streams of it running down the side of his face. He stops to take a breath and says "Thank you," before continuing to drink. So'Rakha waits patiently for the being to finish drinking, and it looks up to him with hope in its eyes. He thinks he knows what is going through the ape's head, however, and quickly tells him to leave the jungle. "B-but what if I get lost again? I-I don't k-know where to go back to!" it bursts out. So'Rakha stares at it coolly, "That is none of So'Rakha's concern. Had you met one of So'Rakha's brothers, they would not have thought twice about killing you. Now go before So'Rakha changes his mind about what to do with you," he says, pointing to where the creature would find more of its own, and vanishes back into the jungle. 2. As you romp through the lands of the "apes", you come across a tavern. Inside this tavern, a Dwarf notices you and starts gawking at you, then begins to speak. "Oi! I gots a bowl of cream for you, Kitty! Ha! I'd bet you would make a nice throw rug, wouldn't ya, ya mangy furball?!" He continues act generally as racist as possible. What do you do?: So'Rakha sits apparently calm, the tip of his twitching tail the only visible sign of his increasing agitation. He attempts to ignore this squawking creature, as he knows that should he make an effort to silence it more would come to its aid. The small one, however, takes the ignorance as an insult, and yanks on So'Rakha's tail and yells, speech slurred by ale, "Lissen ter me!" As the ape pulls on his tail, So'Rakha whirls around and grabs hold of its throat. Meanwhile, the dwarf unsheathes a dagger and plants it firmly against So'Rakha's chest. "Well, sheams we're at an impasse, cat," the dwarf slurs, smiling a snaggle-toothed smile. "So'Rakha can see that, short one," He says, the tips of his claws dimpling the dwarf's neck. "Short one?! I'll bloody well show ye who's short!" the dwarf roars. As the dwarf tightens its grip to plunge the dagger into So'Rakha's chest, he quickly spins his body, causing the dagger to slide painfully yet not fatally across his midsection. So'Rakha hisses in pain, yet completes the spin to grab the dagger from the dwarf's hand and drive it through the other hand into the wood of the bar beneath. The dwarf, now distracted from So'Rakha, grabs the dagger and yanks it out, moaning "Me 'and! Me 'and! Lookit what thish bloody cat did ter me 'and!" The other apes begin to rise from their seats, and as he is outnumbered, So'Rakha sprints for the door and continues for quite awhile until he can no longer see the village the tavern was in, clutching his hand to the gash in his side. 3. One of your fellow Kharajyr and a close friend of yours comes to your dwelling in the middle of the night and begins to pound on your door. After you let him in, he confesses to killing another Kharajyr over a slice of cake. What do you do in response? So'Rakha hides his shock by standing perfectly still. That a friend of his, one that he let get close to him, would be brought so low by the sweet food brings back memories of his childhood. His friend notices So'Rakha's stillness, and knows what it means. "P-please, you wouldn't turn me in, would you? I know what I did was wr-wrong, but I don't want to d-die," his friend stammers. So'Rakha knew that aiding one that was a criminal could cause unimaginable trouble for him, yet as a friend, he could not simply leave him to die. His mind went into overdrive, and he packed food and water that would last several days in the jungle into a satchel, handing it to his friend. "Here. To do more would only make more trouble, especially for me. Go, run to the jungle, and maybe things will settle down here," He tilts his head. "Or perhaps Metzli herself will provide judgment. Stay away, and maybe, should you return, they will take it as a sign that Metzli has decreed you should live." His friend, thankful for So'Rakha's help, pats his shoulder before leaving, to hide in the jungle and atone for what he had done. So'Rakha, on the other hand, sits down. He has mixed feelings: on the one hand, he was glad to help his friend, even if it could cost him later; on the other, he is appalled at how the need for sugar affected people he knew, and reaffirmed that he would never partake of the vile stuff. Do you swear to follow the Tlatlanni and uphold his law, and do you swear to hold Metztli and all of her actions as sacred? I, So'Rakha, swear that I will follow the Tlatlanni, and to hold Metzli and her actions sacred. Please include a screenshot or 3D render of your character's skin Looks like that's it, I think. I hope this meets your guys' standards.
Wretched 2075 Share Posted March 29, 2012 ACCEPTED! Tis indeed to our standered. Welcome to the Kharajyr. Skin is a little dull, maybe you will want to spice it up a bit when you get the chance.
Sweord 2 Author Share Posted March 29, 2012 Thank you! And yes, the skin is a little below my normal quality. I spent all day adding to the app slowly, then did the skin at the very end. To be honest, I'm not used to making these kinds of skins, so I'm still figuring out what looks good on a Kharajyr. Again, thanks for accepting me.
