Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

Hello, My name is Bryan Pierce and this is my third application for the LOTC roleplaying server. In my spare time I enjoy playing a round of golf, going snowboarding if the weather is just right enough, and hanging out with my friends. Minecraft to me though is another story. I have been with mine craft since alpha and have tried other roleplaying games such as D&D and others.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?

Most likely 14 hours.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Roleplaying, to me as a novice roleplayer I would look at roleplaying as something simple. But I have learned it is not. Roleplaying is extremely complicated for it works with multiple people. It has its own economy, different emotions of the world in which you are playing in be it because of the many different players and their characters, each character is different in their own way. They would be greedy and like to steal and gamble, or they could be loving and try to send messages of peace and love to the many different races and towns. These emotions and characteristics coincide with one another leading into disagreements between any number of people. They tend to make people have enemies and allies in this world which will make people create war and hate (which can be very fun). But there are also classes, people can be beggars or kings! Or archers or mages! They all are different in their own way and allow each player to build up their character the way they were meant to.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?

I have played D&D for a short amount of time in my youth giving me very little knowledge of what to know. I also play on other servers which are not as grand as yours. The server I play on is the bashcraft server and when I was there I flipped a country around. I played as a wizard (or mage) who was banished from the erimite empire. The erimites were cruel people, so I decided to start a small uprising… I got people around the country from every town to meet up and we tore apart the world block by block. If you go onto the server now you can see the wreckage and abandonment of houses and terrain that had happened because of the war.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Metagaming is mixing Out of Character (OOC) Information with In Character Information. An example: You walk up to someone-- you notice their name in the chat log and you say, Hey Player! Because your character didn't meet the person, and you used OOC info (the chat log) that's metagaming.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Powergaming is basically forcing actions upon another character without giving the other character another chance to react, it is commonly resulted in poor roleplay. It creates bad roleplay for the other person and is shunned upon.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I do will not truly know until or If I am allowed to ever come onto the server, but from what I have heard and seen videos of I would imagine it to be amazing! With multiple towns, beautiful terrain, and wonderful players!

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

Well I had a small server full of my friends and I, but that didn’t turn out so well… and like I listed up above the bash craft server! I left that from lack of players and they would never reset the terrain. It was very bland in design and creative value.

How did you hear about us?

Well since I left the bash craft and my own server I have been wandering among the internet looking for servers. And when I googled roleplay servers this is one of them that I saw and gained interest in. I have watched your you tube videos and it looks amazing and everything I am looking for!

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Well is all started about 25 years ago when Zonorf was born. He had his fathers eyes, they were grey and stone cold. He had brown hair so thick that even the mightiest of hoes could not cut through it. And his smile… when ever he entered a room with that smirk the room fell silent in disbelief. Zonorf was born poor in a small family consisting of himself, his mother, and his sister. Though he is a bastard child born without never knowing the true identity of his father… his father was said to be a great man, or that is what he was told on a younger age. His family lived in the slums of the Malinor. and always were moving from house to house for that they could not ever pay the rent that was due in needed in time. His mother Janice worked as a prostitute to just makes ends meet and never want the children to know even though Zonorf was at a prime age in his life where he could know and help out. When Zonorf turned 16 he started to perform little jobs by himself. At the age of 16 Zonorf grew to his full height at six feet tall. He was a very lanky child for his stomach was almost empty every night(Except the occasional rotten meat found in the garbage’s). But one day, when Zonorf was walking down the street on a late night he saw his mother on the street corner talking to some men… he knew right then and there that this is how he was given the small amounts of food every night. Zonorf did not want his mother to do this as an act of a job, but he did not want her to feel useless as well. Right at this point Zonorf started something that he would never have thought of doing before and that would be Hunting. Hunting is not in his nature but he did know the secrets and the ways of getting around the Forest more than anyone else. He would never Hunt much though just small animals from the forest and fruits and vegetables for his sister, he would hunt just enough to make sure that they were all safe and had there stomachs filled. He has always had his bows and arrows as a small child but never put them to use until now. The bow is made of fine oak and the string is made of fine spider string.

Zonorf did this for some time running from tree to tree hiding in the shadows being unnoticed, until one day 6 years into the future he had an epiphany! This is what he could do! He could start over his life by doing this! He continued doing so and did the little menial tasks that allowed his family to live for the time being. But, he lacked everything still! He wanted to do more, adventure more, experience the world for what it truly is! But, he couldn’t leave his family. So one day as he was in the forest, he saw a small wolf, he knew wolf hides and their meat is very tender and juicy. So he flew an arrow into the wolf and knocked it over in a single kill. When suddenly he was arrested. It was the king’s pet wolf, but for his luck was not put to death. He was placed in jail for three years.

When Zonorf got out though he knew he could never return as the same man he was three years prior to the incident. He left his family just when things were getting started for them, he put his family under an avalanche of despair and poverty. He has to start a new life now, one that he can call his own. One that will restore the Oakenshield family name…

What is your Character's ambitions?

Zonorf wishes to start over on a new leaf! He wants to do what his family never could as a whole and also be able to restore his families name by using the skills he has developed over the last several years.

What is your characters favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc.)

His favorite tool is a tightly wound bow in which he can shoot when ever and wherever if needed. As well as nice trimmed arrows.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

He is able to hunt in the treetops without being noticed, as well as the ability to sneak around when he does not want to be seen. Zonorf has also developed a from a camouflage that he uses when he is trying to hide.

Other Information about your Character:

Zonorf even though his true ambitions are to set off on a new life he can call “his own” he would also like to meet his true father. Total, he has nine years of training for his abilities.

Open Response Questions:

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Zonorf notices the small insecure Halfling, He reminded himself of his sister. So frail and gentle doing nothing wrong but still in her life she is somehow punished. Zonorf steps off of the road and comes up the two harassers and asks, “What are you doing to this Small Halfling! What did he ever do to you that he deserved this!” as Zonorf is pulling out his bow from behind his back with an arrow already in the nock ready to go. He begins to pull the bow back and simply says with no questioning, “Get out of here…”

Your character is wondering into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent “ ‘ello there, what can I do for you today?” what is your characters response?

Zonorf is looking at the many expensive items he is selling but inside of his mind he realizes that he will never need them for a real purpose, the items are just for show and give no true value… instead Zonorf looks for some string for his bow and possibly a spider eye for bait. He pays the well dressed man handsomely knowing that because he gave a little bit more than asked for he has made a small but very valid connection with the shop keep.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

As Zonorf approaches the supposed abandoned hut he looks inside seeing if it is truly abandoned. Upon farther inspection he has come to the conclusion that it is and forever will be abandoned. He slowly comes to the chest and opens it up to find the items. Knowing that the sword would be of great use, he does not take it and thinks to himself, “it still may be someones.” But the iron is of great abundance and take two of the ingots and gets out as fast as possible with out turning back.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Zonorf stumbles up to the trading camp being tired and weak and goes to the nearest source of food. He pays the seller generously and tells people (if they ask) of how he got here. If there is a inn or a blanket he can purchase, he will try to get as much rest as possible (if outside the camp or inside). The next day Zonorf asks where he is and how he can pay back them for being so pleasant.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

When Zonorf hears of this he goes to the guards and asks, “What is the problem and how may I help?” the guard explains the current situation but Zonorf knows he does not need to be paid for the act. Zonorf declines the offer without thought and for he does not want to risk his own life just for some petty money. He gets up and leaves the town immediately turning his shoulder the other way.
