Out-Of-Character

Minecraft Account Name:

CaptainCake98

How old are you?:

14 (D.O.B 15/4/98)

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

London, England

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Yes I do, I believe that I am competent at speaking and typing English, I can also speak a small amount of Russian

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I enjoy working with other people, I would say I am happy and easy going. I play the Violin, some piano, some guitar and I sing (which amuses some). I am also an avid Warhammer player as I play all three systems, I would also say I am a decent painter.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

I would be able to spend around 30 hours per week, although this may vary if I have upcoming exams (school or music).

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

To me roleplaying is where you take on the role of a character who you can relate to, in my mind there is no point roleplaying a character that you are not really like.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I have been in a few school plays (laugh if you wish) and have also been the main characters. Me and a few of my friends also play on a RP server even though it is fairly low-key.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Where somebody bends a rule set, maybe without breaking it, to suit their needs; for instance if on Minecraft someone is outside and reads what the people are saying inside, then acts upon what they have heard, where in RP that would not be allowed.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:

Where a person completely overpowers their character so that say in combat, a character tries to hit you with a sword, the power-gamers character would be able to keep dodging the blade.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Full of people who will understand how to roleplay properly, who will not grief and be rude. I also would of thought that it would be full of like-minded people who I hope I will be able to get on with.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

As I mentioned earlier, my friends server was ok but it lacked management and the meta-gaming was too much to take, I also was fed up of the level of griefing (my ship was blown up and vandalised with wool but the admin wouldnt do anything because it was 'out of roleplay time') That last point also annoyed me, how we kept having to come out of roleplay where I would have liked just to continue.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes I have read and understood them.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:

Yes I do promise to abide by all the set rules.

How did you hear about us?:

My best friend Huw (huwbert98 minecraft and Huwel in-game)

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?:

I did have two previous applications but could not find it on the forums, I think it is because I applied a year ago

Samad Outstrider

Human

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Samad (short for Samadin) was brought up in a fairly wealthy family by his mother Aradin and father Hadmin. He was educated at a young age and taught how to hunt, fish and build. Samad never had anything to worry about, no lack of food, no lack of water, nothing was ever in short supply. Soon he had grown into an impressive young man, at 16 he had broad shoulders thick brown hair and eyes as blue as the ocean herself. He looked as if he could have fought a bear and came out on top, yet he wasn't like that, although he was skilled with a bow and sword, he took a more passive view to life, he only killed when necessary and prefered talking rather than sparring when soughting out disputes.

One moon before Samad's 17th birthday he was strolling down the local street, after visiting the merchant for some cloth for his mother, he tripped in the road and fell face first into the thick, dark mud, the fine silk cloth was ruined but that was the least of his worries, a cart burden with heavy baskets of fruit had managed somehow to roll down the slanted street and careered straight over Samad's leg, effectivly cleaving it in two if it hadn't been for his leather bag. But even with the tough layer of protection he was still in agony, bleeding out quickly. Onlookers came and tried to help, but all attempts were futile, then a hooded man came over from the other side of the street and leant over Samad, he cleaned then wound with some moss from a small pouch he carried and then picked up the silk (which someone had cleaned to be used as a bandage) but instead of use it as such he simply muttered a few words and tied it tightly around Samad's leg, he stood up and waitied until Samad's father arrived then left without anybody noticing.

Over the course of the next moon Samad's leg got better and better, the town doctor thought it was going to have to be an amputation as the bone had been completely snapped in two, but as the days progressed it seemed as if the bone was growing back, on the morning of his seventeenth birthday Samad awoke to find his leg as good as new and instantly jumped out of bed and flew donwstairs, for the next week he stayed at home, enjoying the freedom he hadn't had for a whole moon, but he never stopped thinking about the hooded man that had cured him, where was he? and what could Samad ever do to repay him.

One week and one day after his seventeenth birthday Samad packed his bag and left in the early morning leaving only a note to explain why he had left, It read;

"I have decided to seek the one who cured me, do not bother to come after me for I shall be fine, I will only return once I have found him, Samadin."

What is your Character's ambitions?:

To find the mysterious hooded man who saved his leg.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

He likes shovels as that was what he used as a crutch when he first injured his leg.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?:

He is a good archer, he can hit a target in the eye 70 metres away, although his aim has been slightly off due to him refinding his balance

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format):

SamadHuman.png

Elfskin.png

Both versions are there, the 'unfolded' skin is just very small!

Other Information about your Character:

He isn't very street wise (as the bio may suggest) he never looks when crossing the road and does not have much consideration for other pedestrians.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

He would assess the manner of the two men and see if he thought they could be reasoned with, if the answer was no he'd find the nearest guard to deal with the matter

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

He would not react but may inquire polietly where the merchant is originally from.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

He would walk away, Samad does not agree with stealing because when he was five some bullies stole his bear that his mother had made him.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?:

He would speak back and be friendly, if they don't offer food he may subtlely enquire where he may find food.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Samad would go out of compasion for the his fellow villagers, but would not use force without good reason.

Your application has some areas where its lacking but from my own judgement I feel that you would be good person to role-ply with on Lord Of The Craft.

Please be patient while a Game Moderator promotes you In-Game.

Welcome aboard!
