Goliath 384 Share Posted May 7, 2012 *Deep in the abandoned dungeons of the wilds, where very few souls shall venture, past the lava flow and the hordes of mobs, through the scars where ground has shifted over time, deep down, it rests. A tattered book, left from years before, left for very few to get a glimpse of, to take hold of and read. The pages a dark, stained and old, it begins* Chapter 1: A Life Of Loss, My life, it's been a ride, a long ride indeed. My eyes first flickered open within Aegis, the forgotten days, poisoned in my past, the sunlight shone upon me, it's all I can remember, the fragile boy, the warm red eyes, destined for greatness, a true Orman. The life before, where the Orman family lived in the bliss of Aeriel, keeping sane and pleasant... the forgotten days. My father was brave, or so they tell me; A master swordsman, he'd survived battles, he'd seen the undead, face to face, he was a good man whom had earned respect throughout Oren, yet all good things must decease. Mother and him left me in the guidance of my two siblings, a ball was occurring, all throughout the night would the humans around us dance and bring joy to one another through a night full of gifts and feasts. They hadn't made it. Along the cobblestone path, resting below overhanging Burch and seeking warmth from candlelight they stepped. Along they went, walking into the moonlight, carefree, unaware what was to face them soon. As morn rose, the cobble lay wet, engulfing spilt blood which litter the pathway. Mother and father had been attacked in the night, left to die, together they faced pain, together they were erased from Aegis leaving three vulnerable young boys. I wouldn't know of the pain. My life has been spent in wonder, and as I grow to a fragile age, I still wonder of my parents, who they were... who I should be. I was young, that is all I know, when I ventured, a stupid young lad, venturing into the forest, alone. An axe to my back, that's all I know, searching, what was I searching for? From the darkness which surrounded me loomed sneering, hushed voices, a chill from within shot down my pathetic spine, my memory crumbled. The group of bandits had attacked me, the very ones who killed my parents? I am unsure. However, as I opened my eyes, knowing nothing of my past, knowing nothing of myself, a monk gazed into my eyes. Who was I? How was I to uncover my previous life? <Chapter Two Coming Soon>
