Out-Of-Character

Minecraft Account Name: ArunSinghParmar

How old are you?: 15

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: United Kingdom

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes I speak Engish as my first language.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I like sports but mainly football and tennis. Big fan of the Formula 1. I think of my self as having a good sense of humour so that probably means it isn't. Currently doing some exams in school and am off for study leave.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: About and hour - two hours. More if I like it.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I have been in a couple of school productions but that doesn't really count. I've played on Impact:World of Aurora which is a Roleplaying Minecraft server. Roleplaying to me is taking on another chracter/identity and acting as they would act or react in a given situation.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: Like I said above, A couple of productions and a month or two on Impact:World of Aurora.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Using OOC in IC is the brief answer. It is about using knowledge that you as the player has learned say in Teamspeak or the website and then giving that information to your character. For example, someone on Teamspeak has just said they are being attacked and then hearing this I run off to help them. But my character had no way of knowing this.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: When you give your character unnatural abilities, e.g. an elf that has the mining level as high as a dwarves. This can be done through grafting in game to get high levels or just by saying "Im a vampire so you cant use anything but a wooden or golden sword to kill me." Or "My demonic tendrils grab and pull you back so you cant move at all". This way you give yourself unfair or unnatural abilities.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I've heard the Roleplay is stricter than on Impact, with the Heroes plugin defining your character and what they can do.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Impact:World of Aurora which I haven't left I am just taking leave to see other Roleplay server to see if I prefer a different server.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes I have read and agreed to the rules.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Yes I promise to abide by the rules.

How did you hear about us? Did someone refer you?: Somebody on Impact was talking about this server and I thought I would come check it out.

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: Previous Application - Post no 549

Have you posted this application on our minecraft forum thread yet? If not, just finish it up on here and then copy + paste is over there. In-Character:

Character Name: Tama Hala

What Race are you?: Elf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Human/Elf (Elven mother and Human Father)

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

The Elves and Humans of Tama Hala's homeland had always fought, and they rarely were seen to talk peacefully with one another. At the period of time Tama Hala's story beings the tensions were particuarly high with the occasional clash of troops. Which is why the story of Tama Hala's parentage is so strange.

Tama Hala's mother was born to a wealthy elven family and didn't have much to do in her spare time. His father, a human, had the hard life. His parents were poor and had died while he was young, when disease ravaged the city. Now alone and only 16 he joined the City watch. One of his duties was to patrol the edge of the Elven Forest. On his patrols he started spotting Tama Hala's mother in the forest, he was instantly mesmerised by her beauty, he slowly fell in love with her. One day when she wandered closer to the edge than ever before he called out to her. Speaking in the common tongue they realised how much they enjoyed the company. It carried on this way till one day he invited her to come live with him. By now madly in love she accepted and fled her home in the forest and stayed in the small apartment that was his.

It was now living in his apartment venturing out only by moonlight to avoid being seen that she became pregnant. And life carried on for a couple of months but then one day his father didn't return. A few days went by but then his mother decided she must ask someone what had happened but just before she opened the tavern door she saw him on the back of a military wagon with an elven arrow protruding from his forehead. She ran back to the apartment, and wept. She had now lost everything dear to her.

She spent a few days like this, helpless in the apartment but then she did the only thing she could and returned to the Elven Forest, to her family. She arrived nearly dead and only a few days from birth. Her family nursed her to health but she wouldn't answer their questions, and never would. She died giving birth to Tama Hala. They instantly saw he was no normal elf with more rounded ears, and bigger as well. Brought up by his grandparents he lived well and happily. But he soon came to realise his Grandmother didn't like him for she had worked out what his mother had done. But although she told his grandfather, he never changed in his affection for him. He went through school as an outsider, never truly fitting in. His 11th birthday came which was when his Grandfather gave him the family bow. Tama Hala learned to love the bow and the archery that came with it. It was his escape, knowing he was the outsider he spent most of his time practising. By the time of his 18th birthday he was sure of what he wanted to do. So like his mother did in the city, he packed his bags and his bow and left the Forest to the Human city. He spent one night in the tavern passing as a tall human. In the morning he got onto the first boat he saw and never looked back.

What is your Character's ambitions?: To fit in again in another world. He resented being the outsider.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): The bow, is all he ever knew how to use. As a wealthy boy he never needed to gather for himself.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Archery, It was his only talent.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): elflordofthecraft.png

Other Information about your Character: He took on more of the Elven genes than the Human. All he took on from his father was the rounded ears and more muscular build.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? He would first climb the nearest tree, then pull out his bow and aim it at the dominant warrior. "You there let him go, or I will put an arrow through both of your skulls!" Then if the let him go he would approach the halfling and check to see if he was okay. After that he would accompany him somewhere safe and continue travelling home. If they said no he would engage and start firing arrows switching to a sword if he had one and knew how to use it by then when they got too close. After the fight he would do the same as before.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "You seem very well dressed for only running this store, tell me, what is your secret?" Then depending on the man's response he would act accordingly; if the man was to become defensive e.g. "None of your business!" he would back off and say "Only asking.". But if the man did tell him he would listen politely and wait for the end then say "Well thank you for sharing with me, Farewell.".

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: He would leave the home and ask about it at the nearest city. He wouldn't mention that he had seen inside the chest as he wouldn't want to appear nosy, just ask who owned it. If it turned out truly abandoned with nobody to lay claim to it he would return and take the ingots and sword and never mention it again.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "Greetings, I am hungry and tired from my travels could I share this camp?" Then depending on how they responded he would react accordingly; If they said "No, I am afraid not" He would be gracious and thank them and then leave. If he was accepted he would thank them and ask if there was anything he could do to pay them back and tell them that if they ever needed a favour he was in their debt.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: He would tell the Leader that he would assist them with his bow, he wouldn't get too close, just shoot from afar. After the battle he would accept the reward and go and celebrate with the rest of the guard. He would be happy as he was fitting in and people would respect him for he helped them in their hour of need.

I wish to see a biography which conforms with Lord of the Craft's lore.

-

Because by seeing this biography, you do not show any place names, or even Asulon itself. I believe to be accepted, this is all you must change.

Good luck in your future applications, do not post for twenty four hours
