Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages

-We believe blood weakens the pain of the disease.

-Since we have been in the dark so long our eyes have developed so that can see better in the dark.

Disadvantages

-Skin blisters and stings in the sun.

-Losses train of thought when thirsty ((Because of pain)).

-Can turn on friends.

-Hated by most people.

-Because of our disease we must feast on blood to survive.

-Rarely see the sun.

-The Disease will give you pains constantly without the nutrients gained from blood.

Disease

When becoming a VonMorte a leader of the family will inject his blood into you. Doing this infects you with a disease which they call the Morte sickness. This disease highly increases the rate of heme produced in the body. When it builds up enough the iron in the heme becomes toxic. When it gets to a high enough level and skin comes in contact with light it causes that skin to blister up. This can be quite painful and some times deadly.

The VonMorte's found out drinking blood lessens the pain of this terrible disease. ((Based off of Porphyria.))
