(note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):Dark Elf Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):'Darkness does not always equate to evil'. This is the code by which Siaamat had lived his life. Since the day of his birth he had been taught to worship Velulaei the Night mother. The colony that Siaamat belonged to was named Lley'yalta; this particular colony was located in a Northern forest area of Asulon and was made up of a number of Dark Elves who had split from the main colony when Aegis was destroyed by Iblees. Siaamat had only vivid memories of Aegis, only being a young 8 years old when the voyage to Asulon was undertaken. His parents, his father Lanmoa and mother Assyos were 389 and 376 respectively were some of the eldest members of the relatively young colony. Siaamat himself was still only 29 years old, a newly matured man at this point, he regularly went hunting with his childhood partner Lilya with who'm he had bonded over the years. During these hunts the duo would regularly stay in the wilds of the forest for days, sometimes even weeks on end in order to advance their connection with the Asulion deities of the night and their hunting skills with both Bow and Sword. During one of these hunts, a tragic event unfolded. The iddylic setting of the Purerrock river bore witness to one of the most fearsome battles any Dark elf had witnessed since Iblees' forces laid siege to Laurelin. It was the middle of the night when they came; an Orcish Horde from one side, brandishing axes which glistened in the moonlight and from the other, a Human army marched in organised formations wielding elegantly crafted Bows and Swords, in a stark contrast to the horde of primal beasts that loomed opposite. The two Dark elves were unaware of this as they were tired from a days hunting and were in a deep sleep and were unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time. The inevitable happened and the battle started between the two armies. The two Elves were finally awoken by an Orc torch which had been thrown at their tent, Siaamat panicked and escaped the tent, forgetting that Lilya was still inside. A feeling of despair grasped him as he realised his mistake but it was too late, she was gone. Siaamat carried the body away from the horrific scene and spent hours constructing an honoured grave for his long time partner, weeping sorrowfully while he did... By the time he had finished the sun's gaze could begin to be seen upon the land as dawn had begun the encroach yet again, Siaamat did one final thing before he departed and prayed to Velulaei as was customary of the Dark elves and then, a strange voice came to his ears. "You did not deserve this sorrow and despair" she stated in a soothing voice. "Who are you?" enquired Siaamat to the mysterious stranger. "I am Meltayus, mistress of the passing darkness, last born of Velulaei, I heard your cry. Siaamat blinked quickly as if he did not believe his own eyes as the female figure was slightly faded into the landscape behind like a mirage. What happened next was strange, the sun had risen and just as the figure had appeared, it disappeared just as quickly. Siaamat made his way back to the colony with a heavy heart and had to pass by the river where the vicious battle had taken place, there were corpses strewn all over the floor and blood stained the once beautiful landscape. Siaamat made the journey through this charred, ghostly area as quick as he could. When he finally made it back to his village he was weary and needed to rest until the next morning. The whole village mourned the loss of Lilya for days to come and in that time, Siaamat came to the conclusion that he could not stay in the village and told his parents that he would head south to try and find other civilization, he was given the finest leather clothing by the craftsmen of his village and he then bid farewell to his parents and set off south in hopes of finding his new purpose. What is your Character's ambitions?: Siaamat's short term goals are to find civilization in central Asulon and to make alliances with other elves, his long term goals would be to establish a new home for himself in one of the elven settlements and increase his status among other races. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Bow and sword What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?: Siaamat is a very agile dark elf with a very quick run speed and high jumping power, he is also deadly accurate with a bow and has been trained in the arts of swordsmanship. A screenshot of your skin: Other Information about your Character: He has a strong dislike of full blown conflict because of his experiences but realises that sometimes it is necessary. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Siaamat would respond with peace and justice on his mind, "What do you cowards think you are doing?" Siaamat exclaims justly "What business is it of yours?" questions the taller of the warriors. "You two brutes have a person cornered and outnumbered, now answer my question!" states Siaamat furiously "Well we were just relieving this little runt of some money which he doesn't need" says the other warrior while laughing menacingly. At this point Siaamat tells the Halfling to get away but the warriors chase him, so Siaamat slashes the legs of the taller warrior with his sword, hoping the injure him. The clever move appears to work with the warrior appearing to have been hamstringed by the blow. The other warrior was now bearing down on the halfling paying little heed to the serrated arrow that was fizzing towards his elbow, the warrior shout's curses in the wake of the pain that the arrow caused him. Siaamat, satisfied that justice was done for the halfling, walks away from the ugly scene leaving the two brutes to lick their wounds. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "Do you have any fine quality blades which would be good for hunting?" enquires Siaamat. "I'm sorry my friend, this shop doesn't sell weaponry but there is a fine blacksmiths on the other side of town that you could visit, he has crafted some very nice weapons and armour for the town guard in the past" Explains the merchant in a helpful fashion. "Thank you for your help my friend" Siamaat says gratefully, he then departs to find the Blacksmith spoken of by the merchant Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Siaamat would firstly check the chest for any signs of a trap that could lurk inside, if no trap is found then he would think about whether or not to take the goods and then decide not to because as a child he was taught that taking others' belongings was never to be tolerated in his society and he is an Elf with very high respect towards the law and the view that it should always be obeyed. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Siaamat would say a brief hello and kindly ask the traders if they have any food that they are able to spare for him, if they say yes then he would thank the traders and tell them that he would bring them bounties as a thanks for helping him in his hour of need. However if they declined then Siaamat would then ask for a place to sleep to rest until the morning and then he would depart from the camp having stealthily sneaked a loaf of bread into his pack. He would feel guilty about this action but also feel that it was necessary. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Siaamat would offer to help the town guard by firstly offering to scout the area where the Bandits have occupied and look at the strength of their forces, when he has scouted the area he would return and report back to the guard captain what he saw. In the attack on the bandits Siaamat would probably sit back and use his bow in a tactical assault on the enemy forces, however if the battle becomes heated and the guards start to lose ground then he would use his hunting blade to assist the soldiers with the melee fight. If the guard captain offered him a large amount of the reward, he would turn it down for a smaller amount because he does not require an abundance of money in what he does.
