Ack, I hate these questions. I’m a student at University. I hate writing assignments and I adore orange high juice. I’m a typical girly girl as well.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Hopefully a couple of hours each night, if university work allows.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Roleplaying is stepping aside from your day to day life to be a totally different person. Almost like stepping onto a stage and playing a different character.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I’ve played on a server called Crafthammer since December and visited a few other servers for a while but never stayed for a significant amount of time. I used to be a drama student as well.

Metagaming means to use OOC information and use it IC even though there is no possible chance your character could know this information.

Powergaming means to Means giving a player no chance to fight or speak, for example [GUARD: Get into prison. THUG: No we shall fight first. GUARD: No I caught you get to Jail]

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I’ve heard only good things, so I think it’ll be really fun and interesting! I think roleplaying will be taken seriously and there will always be something to do.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

As I said, I have played on a server called Crafthammer since December. They are currently down for maintenance for a while.

Yes I have but due to other commitments I haven’t been able to apply again until now. The last time I applied was back in the beginning of May, possibly end of April and I am unable to find the link.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

From a young age, Giovanna travelled with her father. She never knew her mother, her Father never spoke about her. All he would tell her was that she was a southerner like him and not to be trusted. Giovanna tried to believe this but often wondered why her skin was so pale than that compared of her father’s, even though he swore blind that Giovanna was a southerner like him, she was never fully convinced.

Giovanna never went to school or settled in one place for long, however, her father took it upon herself to teach Giovanna all he could. he taught her literature, history and geography to help her know about the world around her. Giovanna, as a child often found herself wondering about the world, willing to explore it rather than to read a book in an old tavern.

It wasn’t until Giovanna was 10 that her father grew tired of constantly moving. They set up home in a tavern. Her father had acquaintances all over the south, finding somewhere to stay was not a problem, but they needed an income. Giovanna would do small jobs around the village they had settled in whilst her father would pour drinks for the soldiers at the tavern. Living in a place that was often full of shadowy and mostly drunk men wore on Giovanna’s innocence. She was no longer the carefree and fun-loving small girl she once was, but rather a hardened teenager sceptical of those she met and not quick to trust.

When Giovanna was 19 years old her father contracted a disease that was unbeknown to the healers in the area, forcing them to move to the city to try and find proper medication. She travelled the long road to Galahar and purchased the cheapest accommodation she could with her father’s coin. She found a job at a small healers shop, tending to injuries and sick people. The hours were long from 5 in the morning to prepare the supplies and equipment for the day until 10 at night, to close the shop doors and clean and mop the blood stained floorboards and tools. The city she lived in was one of cutthroat business and little empathy, with many fights breaking out which meant the small shop was always busy and crowded. The small shop would soon start to smell and get hotter and hotter, making the injured and sick more aggravated, vicious and unthankful; hurling abuse at venomous comments at her whenever they got the chance. Even with all the abuse, Giovanna would simply smile and carry on with her work, her smile becoming emptier and hollower as each day ended her former self completely shut out from who she now was.

Now Giovanna’s father is running out of time and he needs an expensive treatment to rid him of the plague he has contracted. The money Giovanna makes from her job in the merchant’s is not going to sustain her for more than a week let alone pay for something that costly. She needs to either find a way of earning a large sum of money in one venture, or contact the shadowy men of Galahar’s underworld and succumb to their ‘business proposals’.

Giovanna has very delicate features. She has big, bright grey-blue eyes that are hard to depict emotion, and long brown hair which is wavy and falls down her back. She has a pale complexion and wears a long dress to cover the majority of her. She is very fresh faced and could even be described as beautiful however she would never use the description herself.

What are your Character's ambitions?:

To find money in order to save her father. That’s her primary goal. The last strong ambition she had was to travel and explore the world around her, by herself. But that ambition died the moment her father became sick.

What is your character’s favourite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Giovanna is no swordsman and is too weak to hold an axe. She is however, very fond of a bow and when she gets a free moment, enjoys target practice on some old barrels behind the tavern

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Giovanna is very skilled at talking herself out of situations. She avoids conflict most of the time as she is not very good in hand to hand combat. She is very talented in making nothing into something, for example, turning the tavern with its cold seats and dirty bare stone floors into an almost warm and homely place.

Whilst travelling from the Cloud Temple you see a small Halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Giovanna would watch for only a short amount of time before walking towards the men. She would tap them on the shoulder and smile at them in a charming way saying “I am awfully sorry but could you help me? It appears I’m lost.” Giovanna wouldn’t really know what to say exactly and think on her feet. Knowing men so well, she knows their attention would soon be on her and that no warrior would attack a poor defenceless woman. This would give the poor Halfling a chance and would indicate slyly with her hands to get away fast.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Giovanna turns and smiles at the stall holder bowing slightly, walking towards the stall. “Have you any jobs today kind sir?” she asks hoping that he may give her an errand job of some kind. The stall holder looks at her with his old eyes and shakes his head sadly. “I’m sorry, my dear. I have none that I may offer” He says in return with a glum expressing. Giovanna smiles sadly and nods knowing times are hard for everyone and that this old man could probably only just manage to provide for his family let alone employ other people. “Good day sir” Giovanna would mutter before walking to the next stall, asking the same question to each owner she would meet.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Although Giovanna knows that the iron bars and gold sword especially would be so useful and would give her plenty of coin that could pay for her father’s treatment, she is no thief and could never resort to stealing from another. Giovanna would close the chest and walk away, pretending she had never seen it and knew nothing of it and would hurry quickly away, before she had the chance to change her mind.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

“Please, please may I have a small piece of bread and water” Giovanna would say pulling the hood of her cloak down. The traders would look at each other hesitantly. Eventually they would oblige and allow her to sit with them by their fire, giving her bread, hot broth and wine. Giovanna would smile in thanks and would pull out 3 small coins to give to them. ‘It may be small, but it is something’ Giovanna would think to herself. The traders do not accept the coin and when Giovanna went to question this, she notices the small Halfling she helped to escape wave from a tent opposite before they disappeared inside. Giovanna would smile and as soon as she were done, be off on her travels again, not wanting to outstay her welcome.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

As much as Giovanna would love to be able to fight and help she knows that she would be useless. She tries to speak to the town guard and would ask if she could assist with the healing of the wounded men as she has previous experience in this field. It may not be fighting but at least she gets the opportunity to show support and hopefully, gain some coins.
