In your own words, define what the act of Roleplaying is:Depending on what type of theme the community has running the art of roleplaying is to stop being ones self in reality and become the character within the game they go into. To go from office Jack in reality to Outlander Jack scurge of the dooms desert roads on a rp theme community.

In your own Words, define what the act of Metagaming is: Taking out of character information IE teamspeak, forums and word of mouth and using newly acquired information on your in character. Jack had no idea there was a hut at cords/cords but Jim did, however Jim knew Jack had his VA and could go loot all the chests. Jim tells Jack over the forum pm where to go and to split said loot together.

In your own Words, define what the act of Powergaming is: To make ones character perfect. To place other players in situations they cannot get out of "one sided".Exploits or cheats to gain advantages over the other players. To do what it takes to beat the game , even if the game is a sandbox and has no end game.

In-Character:

Character Name:N'duvius D'arkolus

What Race are you?: Human

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): None

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Well now most this information is kept secret deep in the vaults of the Temple of St.Edgars. I will try and tell you what I do know and am allowed to let you know.

My Mother the Temple of St.edgar this is where I was born, I know nothing of the women that brought me in I only know of the building that kept me safe whilst a baby. My Father The Master Builder may he watch over thee, once again I know nothing of who my father was nor do I seek it. My brothers and sisters are but my comrades in arms they are forgers, smiths, engineers, guards and priests the list goes on to our job classes. Allot of us here in the order are either left on the door stoop as babies or taken in by order of the Hammerite Grand Priest due to special circumstances and last allot are taken by trade for services rendered to other parties. Our numbers are in the thousands and we have many chapters through out the worlds of time and space. I say this because I've personally had the benefit of nether travel, and let me tell you it is not for the weak of heart or stomach. But I digress..

I spent my teen years under the tutelage of a Master forger and with his teachings became a Master forger myself. I was also trained in hand to hand combat and of course the use of the warhammer "sword". The art of taking raw ore and peeling away the impurities then placing the ore within a furnace and melting down the ore to a molten mass, Pouring the ore into a ingot and stamping it with a Hammerite seal but brings a tear to my eye even after all these years. Later in my life as I became older I was sent on a rite of passage the "trial of fire" to go from a child to an adult. It was in this journey that I happen to acquire the scar that runs down the side of my face. A rabid Reptor inflammabilis or as the people in my world called them "creepers", the massive creature was two men tall and the size of three bovine a sickly green was his color and a face that only a mother could love! The beast crept on me while I was well deep in an abandoned mine gathering coal for the cold night. "sssssSSSSSS!!" Few have been able to recount the sound this creature makes. Startled and never have seen such a beast I swung my pickaxe wildly at the creature in hopes to place distance between the two of us. The creature taken back by my attempts to kill it backed away some. "Foaming at the mouth the vile green creature charged!" As I dropped my pick in exchange for my warhammer I braced myself for the charging beast. With one fell swing I hit the animal directly in the side of its head..."I think it had one...though not sure it has one, this is a strange looking creature after all". What happened next still haunts me to this day....not only does this beast not have blood but it appears to be sulfuric acid!! This sprayed everywhere putting my torch on the wall out and burning my skin and hands. In its death throws the beast lunged at me in a final attempt to kill me with himself. In the dark he knocked me down clawing at me with his four feet, one leaving its gruesome mark on my face forever. I couldn't tell what happened next all I can remember is while rolling on the floors of the mine in the dark I managed to get enough strength to push the creature off me and off a very large cliff. That was my first encounter with such a creature and where I got this scar today. Ever since that day I learned to place barricades behind me while mining to ensure that never happened again. After a month in the wild I had acquired the items I was sent to get and made my way back home to receive my official passage into the order as a true Hammerite.

As the years went on I too became a teacher to the art of forging. I was also sent out to contract and build for the order. There was one task that I still to this day have been assigned to and that was to acquire the child Lock'eed to mentor and guide. Let me say this was no easy task for the child was innate with strong magic and is the reason why I've lost my hair. Random structure fires, lightning storms seem to be his favorite and fire being my least. Time would pass and with the fifty year mark approaching it was but fate that would pick Lock as the new vassal to go out into the unknown. He picked his childhood friend Craig La'duke as his elite guard and for his master forger well that was me. We were sent to the lands of Free Haven to establish our chapter there and pursue the chaos demons in that land. And like most new journeys the challenge was tough, bandits and raiders plagued these lands and of course the Chaos lords grip in this area was strong. So strong that after many years of battles and feuds finally had stopped the darkness took over forcing everyone from the lands and further away from our home City. Ironstone keep our new home was saved through the magic of the wizards of Free Haven, they'd taken it through a rift and brought it to the new world which was named Free Port. But alas the darkness would make its way to us there as well. Lock remained behind from what we knew he went on a walk to clear his mind of all the turmoil that was over taking the new land. And such as in the last lands a great nether void storm erupted all around the remaining town of Ironstone. We were forced to take the Good Hammer blimp along with what survivors remained in the lands and fly clear of the hurricane void storm that was eating and taking everything into the nether. We had but gotten away though we thought we did but what had happened was we went through a nether rift and out into a new world. Weeks went by as we floated across what appeared to be an endless sea of water. We finally crash landed on a land mass, these lands were strange however. Ravines, melons not of orange but green and red....ravines cut through all over the land and last vines grew wildly everywhere.

It was here that we came across a village and Lock was here building like what all good builders do. He told of how he made his way through the very bowels of the nether and to these new lands, vile nightmares they were. Some time would pass while we prepared to make our journey further away from where we thought the nether void was, leaving behind Ruststone our temporary home. The Hammerites and the Kingdom survivors all traveled to the lands of the Sotonian Capitol there we would start back up to rebuilding our lost keep. What we didn't know at the time was we traveled not away but closer to the nether void. Once more we where taken by the Chaos lord and his power, it would almost seem it was a one sided battle with this being.

With the very few remaining wizards of Free Haven and the Ruler Soto everyone was transported as far away from all the chaos as they could. We now sat in a new world once again for the sixth time, only the Master Builder knows how many worlds we traveled to while trying to flee from almost certain doom. The earth and water mages makitalo and Rashala were able to materialize our castle fortress over from the prior world. Slowly over time with the rise of bandits and random killings the people in these lands started to leave for safer quieter places to call home. Some took nether rifts thinking travel would be quicker others picked up and left. The funny thing is no sign of the nether void in these lands. Word traveled quickly that only a small handful of people remained in these lands and with that Lock and myself packed up and prepared to seek out lost hammerites. His knowledge of nether rift travel would lead us to these lands of Asulon. To our dismay the rift we took to get us here closed behind us and it appears there is no way to get back through.

Lock has sent me in search of a place we can start building our new home. He however went to what we heard was a fallen chapter of hammerites from ages past. I've found a good area to start camp I'll send Lock word soon.

What are your Character's ambitions?: To fulfill his duties to the Master Builder and protect his fellow comrades in arms. To carry the Hammerite name to a higher level so all will know the name Hammers. I also want to take up farming as a hobby more quieter side of me, nothing like the smell of wheat blowing in the air like an ocean tide.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

The pickaxe is what I prefer, to mine and smelt. Though recently the rack and farming shows a more quiet side to me that brings peace to my weary soul.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Taking raw ore and melting it down to the finest quality to then be used in tools and armors. I'm a master forger tis only right I stick to my years of knowledge.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: ( http://tinyurl.com/Lotcscreenshot ):2012-06-16_060205.png

In the grand smelting halls of Ironstone.

Other Information about your Character: Not allot is known about nduvius and allot of his past his kept secret. When asked he merely smiles and changes the subject very gracefully. One would think a person that spends hours smelting and smithing would have a more rambunctious louder personality. But nduvius shows a calm collected appearance, his skin dark as the coal he smelts with and the scar from ages past are the things that stand out when looking at him.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Walking up slowly to the group so that the two armed men see him approach. Nduvius's appearance along with his scar makes the two go silent. Nduvius now being noticed by the halfling steps aside. "nduvius stands now staring at the two men as he looks them over". Yawning nduvius stretches his arms up and pulls his warhammer unfastening it from his back. Now armed like the two men nduvius breaks the silence yet again. "It's common knowledge that no one likes bandits" pausing to see if the two react or respond nduvius waits to see if they call his bluff to a fight.

1. If a fight erupts nduvius would tear into the two leaving them dead for the crows. While turning to the halfling and telling him to go home. 2. The bandits seeing they have the chance to flee turn tail and run, nduvius turning to the halfling telling him to go home. Nduvius then continues on his way to his destination.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Nduvius~"I'm looking for unique smith tools and was wondering if you had any unusual tools for sale" Looking over the ware nduvius waits for the merchant to respond.

Merchant~" well I have many strange tools you mind telling me what kind your looking for?"

Nduvius~ chuckles "hah,Oh yes I do...looking for any diamond 3lb double-face or cross-peen hammers, one 4lb hammer once again diamond chisels and rock drills and some punches. If you have enchanted dwarven tools or runic bound ones I'll pay quite allot good sir"

Blank expression goes over the merchants face, his posh attitude is seen gone now that he knows he isn't dealing with yet another customer.

Shaking his head as he pours over a inventory list by his side the merchant turns back to you.

Merchant~"no sir only items here I can sell would be the mining equipment for new travelers. Though if I were you I'd seek out a dwarf for such wares. I'm sorry I couldn't help you sir."

Nduvius looking back over the wares nduvius picks up one of the pickaxes looks it over and pays the merchant for it.

Nduvius~"tis a good pick and thank you for your time. I will try and find a dwarven merchant good sir."

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I'd go to where ever the main entrance is and announce myself so as not to startle the town people. I'd ask if they had any spare rations or water to spare and that I am lost and could use direction back to my city. I'd also state I could earn my rations and help if they needed any smithing in their town.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:I would seek out the town guard captain and tell him I would like to aid the town in anyway I can. I'd also decline all reward for clearing out the bandits, removing any villainy is payment in itself. "Lay stone upon stone, pile foe upon foe, ‘til thy Builder's work is done"

Anything else you would like to say?: ((This was a coworkers account from along time back. He left it to me when he moved back to his family in Arkansas, I really do miss the great times we had on my private server and the great builds we did. In a sense he was a true mentor to me through the years I knew him.)) ~Lock
