What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: That you create a different person that you act as, having a different life and acting differently than you usually would... basically being someone your not.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: Yes, I go to a live action role play site and sometimes I act as DM in Dungeons&Dragons

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is when you use information that your charactor shouldnt know, for example, another charactors name before interacting with them... Although you can see their name above their head your charactor doesnt actually know their name unless they had previously asked.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power gaming is when you, in a sense give yourself superpowers that are unrealistic, so saying that your going to stride up to him and punch a hole through his head with your bare hands and walk off... Its unrealistic and couldnt actually happen so it makes the game unfair. In short its using unfair methods to gain power over other players.

What do you expect this server will be like?: Im hoping its going to be very fun, im also hoping people will stay in role.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: MassiveCraft, I left because nobody was staying in charactor and all of it was totally disorganised.

Character Name: Slade

What Race are you?: Orc

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Goblin

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Slade was birthed into a family of 15, being the runt amongst his siblings he was always treated fairly roughly by his brothers, always getting a punch or a shove every now and then. His whole family was of low class, physical workers that moved rubble and lumber for the orcs, they also helped design and direct building huts as the orcs didnt have as much of an understanding of structure as them. At the age of 8 he was thrown into training, goblins are always expected to be as useful as possible to help their superior's, the orc's. Using a variety of tools as combat weapons he learned a few techniques on how to dodge, swing and slash, and how to use his surroundings to his advantage. Although he wasnt exactly strong enough to do much damage he was pretty though when it came to a beating but had a huge dent in his confidense due to the other Goblins (usually the bigger ones) picking on him.

When Slade reached the age of 15 he was attatched to an orcish raiding band and was used as an arrow carrier for the skirmishers, usually getting yelled at for moving too slow or dropping an arrow. They raided dwarvern villages and farmsteads, pillaging and burning helpless people's homes and taking booty back to their camp. 2 Years later he was on his biggest raid of all, a dwarvern fort, carved into the face of a cliff and defended by thick studded doors and seasoned warriors. As the warhorn blew and his clans warriors charged on to smash down the gates screaming and taunting the inhabitants while waving their various weapons above their heads. Once he was told to run a message to the orcs that had reached the walls he had to run across the field of battle weaving through his kin, both the fallen and those that were still standing. Once he was standing against the walls, panting from the sprint he watched as countless orcs were shot and killed before reaching the walls, quite suddenly, before he could deliver his message, a rock fell from the walls, dropped by one of the dwarf archers and hit him right on the head, destroying the helmet that had saved his life, instantly knocking him unconcious.

When his eyes opened again he found himself captive to the dwarves, in a stale, damp cell with only the cold stone beneath his feet to lye on. After a few days of shivvering in his cell he was selected by the prison guard and dragged out into a dimly lit hallway where he was put in chains and told that he was going to be transferred to Mount Ire to be sold as a servant. After a long, foot aching walk through mountains and wading through freezing cold glacial rivers he finally arrived at the city carved into the rock, before even having a chance to rest he was shoved onto a pedestall and auctioned off to a rather loud group of dwarves that all studied him for desirable qualities, eventually being sold to 2 rather drunk dwarvern travellers for a mere 10 minas (Their names are Githrone Argonheim and Drin Hein). Before they left the city, much to Slades suprise they fed him some proper food and gave him a mug of Ale, both of which he ate/drank in a discusting manner, slurping and choping open mouthed untill he was full. The next morning they set off out of the gates, Slade being pulled allong like a dog on the end of a heavy chain, his destination unknown....

What are your Character's ambitions?: To escape from his captors and return to his clan, eventually get revenge on the dwarves that killed his warband.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): The hoe, others would think this tool as almost useless, but when you use its light design to your advantage it can cause a lot of damage..... as well as being a useful farming tool.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Fleeing from combat and staying out from under peoples feet, he is also quite proficient with a hoe, using its light design to carry out vicious swings.

Other Information about your Character: Slade likes the taste of cooked fish, whenever he gets the chance a good glug of ale also makes him happy... One day he wants to become friends with another Goblin, if he ever see's another one that is.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Warily watch the men from a distance and size them up, if they look too strong then go and seek some assistance. If they look as if they might be able to be taken on then he would try and get as close as possible before being detected, swinging his weapon as hard as he could at one so that he might be able to fight the other 1 on 1... If he was fighting a losing battle then he would simply flee as fast as possible.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Look into the mans eyes coldly then say something allong the lines of "I dont want your crap!, I got all I need right here!" (motions to his equipment) he would then spit on the floor in front of the stall and arrogantly stride off trying to be as tall as he could.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Take the items, they might be useful later for selling... Or, he would take them to his clan, the orcs might give him more respect if he gave them shiny things.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Take the hospitality as he might need his strength to find his way again, but at the same time be wary, they might spring a trap at any moment and he has to be ready. Try to keep out of conversation and eat as much free grub as possible before leaving hastily.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Agree to help but only for the money, not the appreciation of the villagers or guards. During the fight he would hang back and only engage in combat if the odds were against the enemy, using the surroundings to his advantage to get height over them.
