What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: i know how to role-play relatively well. role-play is the acting out of real life situations and not acting like your playing a game. it means a lot to me to be able to role-play with other people on nice mine craft servers with nice players.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have recently played on an RP server called Legends Of Talarra, and was playing and RPing on there for a while.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: meta-gaming is taking information from OOC posts and using it IC

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Speaking in a unfair way while playing . e.g. one character is about to attack another, and the victim quickly says "Kills the attacker and loots his body".

What do you expect this server will be like?: i expect it to e full of good RPers and to be a beautiful community of well played characters.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on only one other RP server, and i left it because it lost people and got boring.

Character Name: Traak Zenith

What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Human

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): None

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): I know nothing of my birth and how i came into this world, i was left in the wild to fend for myself. My dark hair and skin helped me blend into the long grass and trees. To escape from prowling wolves and monsters i would usually climb trees or hide in a hole. My first weapon was an old wood chopping axe that i found near a cobbled pathway.

I decided to leave behind the old musty jungle and try out the civilisation. I followed the Cobbled pathway towards a town and tried out some old bread i found lying around. It tasted better than the meat i ate in the jungle, but everyone seemed to give me dirty looks as if they didn't want me there. I tried out a job that was mostly cleaning out gutters and pig troughs, i got some money and bought some new clothes so i fitted in a bit more. After a while my dedicated work got me a good reputation in the village, no more dirty looks and a couple of friends in the streets. I could earn a room in a hotel and slowly got myself enough money to buy myself a ticket out. So on my twentieth birthday i bought myself a ticket out of the town and have been adventuring ever since.

What are your Character's ambitions?: Traak is trying to find a place to settle down and make a family. he hopes to give his children a better life than his parents gave him.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): i am good with most weapons and tools, but i favour my sword over all.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Smithing, swordplay, hidden movement, Assasination

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I tell the warriors to back off or they will have to deal with me. "Don't interfere with our business" said the first. I decided to give them a taste of my blade. I jumped forward and brought my sword down on the second's ear and it fell to the ground. the first ran for the trees as i sheathed my sword. the halfling offered me some gold but declined the offer and continued on my way.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "i have all i need for now, but if i need anything in he future i will remember you offer"

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I look around for signs of inhabitation, after seeing none i call out to see if anyone is in earshot. only animals reply so i take the sword but leave the iron for any other traveler that happens on this hut.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? "Aye, Anything for a weary traveler?" they looked at me and gave me a disgusted look and turned away. "I see......Well in that case i will help me self to your supplies. I then walked towards one of the tents and looked inside. there were pork chops and beef, i took one piece of beef and went outside. The tradesmen were waiting for me outside. I pretended i didn't notice them and walked past them throwing them a couple of minas on the way "you lucky i was carrying them" I then went and roasted my beef on the fire and left into the jungle once again.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I go to the gates and look outside, i really must get to the next town before sundown. i have a meeting there the next morning. I jump the signs and start my walk, after only a few minutes i hear rustling in the bushes, i draw my sword and slow down. Maybe this wasn't such a great idea. A couple of burly men climb out of the bush ahead of me. I size them up against myself and realised that my chances were slim, if not non-existent. i decided to take a quick sprint back to the town, the men chased me, but i was smaller and more agile. As i neared the town gates i called for help and the guard came out. as i turned to check on the men chasing me i saw them disappear into the forest followed by a shower of arrows.

Anything else you would like to say?: i really hope i get accepted and am able to play on this great server. i really appreciate the work you guys have put in and hope to see you guys soon. ;)

Reasons:

• Your role-playing definition needs to be expanded. I'm not sure you have a grasp of the correct meaning of it.
  
• Your powergaming and metagaming definitions also need to be expanded.
  
• Unrealistic biography. Babies and children do not survive by themselves in the wild. I would also like to see an explanation of where your character got his skill in smithing, swordplay and assassination. Why are you good with most tools? Why is he good at parkour and mining. More importantly, why does like slaying dwarves? That would require a villain application, anyway.
  
• You need to include more server lore in your biography. Show us that you are at least a little familiar with the places and major events of the world. You can research the lore on our wiki here.
  
• Your character shows evidence of villainous activity, specifically assassination and murder. That is not permitted without a villain application. Make sure you read over the villain rules (here) so that you are aware of what you can and cannot do without applying for a villain application.
  
• Villainous activity in your Open Response Questions. Specifically, stealing (or intent to steal) in the fourth one.
  
• Your Open Response Questions need to be expanded. A short paragraph at least would be nice. Some ways to expand on them would be to explain in more detail what your character does, and also explain why they do it, and "what's going through their head" at the moment. You should also include both detailed actions and dialogue in your answers.
  
• Your answer to the last Open Response Questions is not satisfactory. You are supposed to explain what your character would do with the information provided.
